BRADLEY LAUNCHES ART PRIZE AT OPENING OF NEW GALLERY
Terry Bradley’s gorgeous new gallery space, located on the upper ground floor in Victoria Square, has officially opened with a 5-year lease.
On the opening night Terry also expanded on his new art initiative to drive fresh talent and creativity among young people in Northern Ireland. Launching the inaugural Bradley Art Prize, which is supported by leading local business, Radius Connect Solutions, the creative competition will run across the current academic year with a deadline for submissions by 31 March 2023. Submissions are invited from young people across two age categories, 14 to 18 and 19 to 23 years. Judged by an esteemed panel of judges including Terry Bradley himself, along with wife Ashley Forsythe Bradley, award-winning Northern Irish writer and producer, Martin Brennan, Aodhán Connolly, Director of European Division & Head of Office at the NI Executive in Brussels and Gigi McQueen a tattoo artist originally from California, two winners and two runners up will be selected at the end of next June. Overall winners win an exhibition in the new Bradley Gallery as well as showcasing their work at the Northern Ireland Executive offices in Brussels and a cash prize.
