South Belfast

How long have you been living/ working in the South Belfast area?

I have worked in South Belfast for the past 20 years and also previously lived in the area for 5 years prior to working in the area.

What do you like most about South Belfast?

There is a vibrancy and positive vibe about South Belfast that, in my humble opinion, is virtually unmatched in any other area of Belfast with lots to things to see and do with unrivalled restaurants and bars to socialise in.

Does South Belfast have any hidden gems?

There are lots of new places that have recently opened post-Covid and sometimes it is even surprising to me how quickly things can change in the area. Not sure if this can be classified as a ‘hidden gem’ but the Ulster Museum is always a great place to visit with lost for the kids to see and do!

Where do you like to dine and socialise in the local area?

There are a plethora of different restaurants to suit all kinds of tastes in South Belfast. The Jharna restaurant has always been a particular favourite of mine with some tasty spicy Indian meals on offer. I also recently just discovered Orto Pizzabar on the Stranmillis Road which is very relaxed and casual and serves up some great freshly made pizzas!
