ISLAND ARTS CENTRE What ,s On At

ISLAND Arts Centre looks forward to welcoming you back to its new season programme this autumn that has something for everyone from live, sidesplitting comedy shows such as Paddy Ra and Kevin McAleer to the gentle classical music of the Studio Symphony Orchestra and musicians Grainne Du y and Anthony Toner as well as our ever-popular adult, children’s and family classes and workshops and gallery exhibitions.

For those of you starting out with your little ones on their life-long artistic journeys, we have our specially designed ISLAND Minis courses for 1-4 years and the return of our popular Culture Club for 6-11 years, when they can let their imaginations soar by exploring all sorts of arts from printing to felting, to sculpting to working with mixed media and recyclables. Also, returning is our very own ISLAND Youth Theatre led by professional, creative producers, Christina Nelson and Jazzmin McClure who will be developing the performing arts talents of local young people for a professionally presented stage production.

Gallery highlights include local artist Andrew Gault, with his stunning landscape paintings of Ireland and Anna McGurn Patricia Kelly presenting ‘Cloth and Clay’ complemented by the showcasing of local community art and projects.
