LEGACY OF THE WORLD CUP One of the main inspirations behind the World Cup is that it must be able to leave a legacy for the African continent; and that the benefits ånot confined to host cities. The legacy is also about ensuring maximum and effective participation by every citizen of the continent. The World Cup programs should be linked with other existing initiatives. Some such projects that are targeted by the uMgungundlovu District Municipality will address areas of: National cohesion Football support and Development Culture and Heritage Environment and Tourism Youth Development Programs

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH PARAGUAY Paraguay Football Association has agreed to use the four-star Woodridge Country Hotel within uMgungundlovu District Municipality as National Team’s base camp from 03 June- 28 June 2010.
