Our faculty includes: • Professor William McGeveran, whose current research compares European and American approaches to data protection, as well as digital identity and data privacy, ranging from online impersonation to the privacy features of Facebook and other social networks. • Professor Ralph Hall, who leads a coalition working with Congress, FDA, and other stakeholders on federal legislation to provide a predictable and timely path to market for innovative diagnostic tests, and who is engaged in policy work on cyber security in health care and new regulatory approaches to therapeutic products. • Professor Christopher M. Turoski ’98, who is the director of patent programs and a former vice president for Cargill Animal Nutrition Technologies, Inc., where he led all intellectual property aspects of a multi-billion dollar business acquisition.
Professor Alan Rozenshtein, a former cybersecurity attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, teaches criminal procedure, and cybercrime and cybersecurity.
Professor Thomas Cotter is an expert in domestic and international intellectual property law, antitrust, and patent law. His research and expertise is frequently cited in court opinions and in the media on topics ranging from the antitrust issues of Amazon to intellectual property claims against Disney. His most recent book compares patent law in the U.S., Germany, and Japan.
Professor Susan Wolf is an expert on health law, law and science, and bioethics. She has served on the National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity, and currently sits on the National Academies’ Committee on Science, Engineering, Medicine, and Public Policy. Her work has focused on the ethical, legal, and societal issues raised by genomics and other emerging technologies.
