The LL.M. Program at Minnesota Law
BEST OVERALL LAW SCHOOL EXPERIENCE (National Jurist)
Welcome to the Minnesota Law LL.M. community
“I chose to get an LL.M. at Minnesota Law because I was taken by how many resources the school has, and how many opportunities it provides to the students.”
The LL.M. program includes access to practical experiences, including courses like Judicial Observation and Trial Practice, as well as International Moot Court and pro bono opportunities. This spring, Minnesota Law’s LL.M. Moot Court team went to New York City for a competition and scored higher than three of their four opponents.
Minnesota Law’s LL.M. programs provide internationally-trained lawyers with a rigorous academic experience, exposing them to a broad array of legal skills and knowledge. Minnesota Law offers a Business Law LL.M. and a general LL.M. with the option to earn one of 12 concentrations.
To earn an LL.M. or Business Law LL.M. degree at Minnesota Law, students must successfully complete at least 24 credits over one academic year (two semesters) with the option to extend their studies to a third semester. There is no thesis requirement, but students must take one seminar course that is graded based on a substantial writing project. The LL.M. program begins in August and ends with a graduation ceremony in mid-May.
