Drone Sighted Over UFO/Paranormal Hot Spot in Piedmont MO

A

rural resident near Piedmont, Missouri reports seeing what she believes to be a drone on her property on July 27, 2015. The site, which is the location of an ongoing investigation by QUEST Investigation Group, has a long history of strange and unexplained occurrences. The witness has seen include UFO’s, extraterrestrials, men in black, strange visitors, a possible bigfoot sighting, and men in black military clothing armed with guns sneaking around in the woods on the property. For obvious reasons, the witness wishes to remain anonymous.

In her own words the witness reports: “On August 31st at approximately 10 O'clock p.m. I was walking in the back yard and noticed a bright light in the northern sky. It wasn't a star, I know my sky.

I ran in to get binoculars and back out the front door. As I began to raise the binoculars still looking at the object I saw a smaller light or orb come out of the bigger object, and head in an eastern direction. It was cool to see! Just a week before I witnessed a very fast moving white light moving towards north from wsw.

There was an approaching possible jet, the object I saw first was a bright white light and it just stopped and hovered there in the

sky till the jet passed. Then it moved then zigged-zagged a few times and became stationary again . After a half hour I got bored watching it and went inside the house.

Unknown Creatures Reported in Western MO

he Kansas City Chapter of Missouri MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) and Quest Investigation Group have received six reports of a chupacabra-like creature from different witnesses in western Missouri. Investigators request that witnesses to any unusual animals report their sighting to Missouri MUFON. Each of the six sightings involved one to two witnesses who report seeing a similar animal which either sits on its haunches or walks.

The front legs are shorter than the back legs, it has a long snout with fangs and short grey hair. Most witness report that the creature is approximately two feet tall when sitting, but two witnesses say the animals they saw were as large as a small deer.

They did not stick around to investigate further.

Two witnesses visiting a park at the Missouri river in 2014 saw a small strange animal sitting on its hind legs in the middle of the road. It did not move. They needed to pull the car off the road to get around the creature. The creature was described as small, with short front legs which reminded the witnesses of a kangaroo, and with a long snout, and ears pointing up.

One animal was spotted near Woods Chapel Road in Blue Springs near Lake Jacomo. It had mottled dark and light gray hair, a boxy large back end, and short front legs making the body shorter in the front than in the back. This particular animal was approximately 45" long and 30" high.

A similarly sized creature was seen near Rich Hill Missouri in 2010 by two witnesses driving north on 49 highway. “It was very foggy and

niversitat Autònoma de Barcelona Department of Physics researchers Jordi Prat, Carles Navau, and Àlvar Sánchez announced the creation of the first man-made wormhole on Sept. 3. 2105. at the Alpha Galileo website. The researchers developed an electromechanical device that transferred a magnetic field from one point to another almost instantaneously.

The device was constructed to simulate all the aspects of a gravitational wormhole as proposed by Albert Einstein.

Gravitational wormholes are beyond the ability of man to produce at present due to the energy required to manipulate large bodies and great distances in space. A magnetic field generated at the source appeared at the end of a

ferromagnetic cylinder as an isolated magnetic monopole in the new device. The transfer of the magnetic field was not visible by any magnetic detector or the human eye.

The cylinder is the transfer column that is necessary to produce the same behavior as a gravitational wormhole. The device accomplished the same change in the topology of space that theory predicts that a gravitational wormhole would produce.

The distance traveled was very small. The ferromagnetic exterior covering along with a second layer of superconducting material allowed the ferromagnetic cylinder to behave as a wormhole. The device has immediate applications in medicine in enhancing magnetic resonance imaging and protecting patients from the dangers of too much exposure to the energy produced by an MRI device.

Closed timelight curves, exotic arrangements of matter overlapping back upon themselves, suggest it might be possible to go back in time. Professor Todd Brunn studies this theory, but believes we cannot change events.

The device is a long way from the theoretical capacity of transport across huge distances or through time that is proposed by Einstein and others. This may be the first step in the development of an alternate means of transport that could revolutionize travel of all

they drove along Wood’s Chapel Road in Blue Springs. A small animal was sitting up on it’s haunches on a large boulder. The creature had a long snout, pointed ears, short hair, and short front legs.

The witnesses described the animal as being the size of a medium-sized dog.

These sightings were reported in mid 2010 to July of 2015. All of the locations were in Independence, Blue Springs, Rich Hill, and Clinton, Missouri. No one has yet been able to obtain a photograph.

Two calls to the Missouri Department of Conservation yielded no explanation. Agents said there were no such animals in the State of Missouri.

The reports of this chupacabra type creature come in the wake of a rash of multiple Sasquatch sightings near a wooded area in Belton, Missouri and Independence, Missouri near the Missouri river, and an undisclosed location in Northeast Missouri. Missouri MUFON and other groups are investigating.

Missouri MUFON and QUEST Paranormal Investigation Group urge people to carry a camera and take a photo of anything unusual including UFOs and cryptid creatures. Missouri MUFON and QUEST investigate UFOs, Sas-

The Lemp is a “must do” for any serious ghost hunter. The site of four suicides, almost everyone who visits has some type of other-worldly experience.

had the good fortune to visit and explore the Lemp Mansion in 2012 along with my friend Debbie Ziegelmeyer. After having lunch in the restaurant on the lower level, we moved upstairs to complete our much-anticipated ghost hunt, with equipment in hand. Before mentioning the results, however, lets begin with some history of the place.

The home was built in 1868 by St. Louisian Jacob Feickert. William J. Lemp, owner of the largest brewery in St. Louis, and his wife, Julia, moved into the mansion in 1876.

The Lemp family lived in the house until 1949 when Charles Lemp committed suicide.

William Lemp, the son of a successful grocer and German beer brewer, continued in his father’s Page 8

footsteps, expanding the company.

In 1911, the Lemps contracted major renovations to the home to include conversion of some spaces into offices for the Lemp Brewery.

William brewed and bottled his beer in the same facility to meet growing demand for the product.

In 1878 he installed the first refrigeration machine in an American brewery, following with refrigerat-

ed railway cars, in order to transport the beer across the States.

Not long after, Lemp Beer was sold worldwide.

In 1892, the William J. Lemp Brewing Company was founded from the Western Brewery with William as President, his son William Jr. as Vice-President, and his son Louis as Superintendent.

William J. "Billy" Lemp, Jr., born on August 13, 1867, went to St. Louis University and then studied the art of brewing. However, it was William Sr.'s fourth son, Frederick, born in 1873, whom he wanted to take over the company. But Frederick had heart issues and died on December 12, 1901 of heart failure due to complication of diseases.

Elsa Lemp Wright, the youngest child of William Lemp Sr., filed for divorce against Thomas Wright.

The divorce was granted, however, the couple reconciled and remarried in 1920. After an argument with her husband, Elsa shot herself while in bed at her home on Hortense Place.

William Sr. became distraught over his son’s death, and his health slowly deteriorated. To make matters worse, his best friend Frederick Pabst died on February 1, 1904. On the morning of February 13, 1904, William Lemp killed himself by gunshot, and died at 10:15 a.m.

In the 1910s The Lemp Brewery suffered when Prohibition began.

The brewery was shut down and the Falstaff trademark was sold to Lemp's friend, "Papa Joe" Griesedieck. The brewery was later sold at auction for pennies on the dollar. On December 29, 1922, Billy Lemp shot himself in his office, which today is the dining room on

the left side of the door on the main floor.

Billy Lemp had one son, William J. Lemp III, licensed the Lemp name to Central Breweries of East St. Louis in 1939. Central Breweries changed their name to the William J. Lemp Brewing Company, and began a grand marketing campaign resulting in increased sales of the new Lemp Beer. The contract was terminated by Ems Brewing, which bought out Lemp in 1945.

The Lemp Mansion is currently a restaurant and inn owned by the Pointer family. Historical and haunted tours are offered, and it is a venue for murder mystery dinner theatre and Halloween parties .

tu ghost hunt rather than bringing the usual bags of equipment. We were not spending the night and didn’t have much time. However, we would not be disappointed.

While sitting in the dining room eating lunch, some movement caught my eye to the right, and I looked, thinking it was the waiter.

However, there was nothing there, so I just kept on with our conversation, anticipating that we might capture a spirit in the restaurant, and kept my camera handy. A few minutes later, the movement occurred again, this time a tall dark shadow moved from across the room and through a doorway and towards the staircase in the hall. I took a quick photo but nothing appeared in the photograph.

Next, we moved to the upstairs area to Elsa’s room. As we walked up the stairs I felt a presence on the staircase. Upon entering Elsa’s room, Debbie and I both felt a presence walk into the room, and I felt something walk through me.

Debbie’s thermometer started to drop, and finally stopped at a full 10 degrees lower than the original room temperature. It started out at 72 degrees and dropped to 62 degrees. My EMF meter began to show high readings. I snapped a picture of the fireplace and mirror (see photo on page 11) and there are some streams of light in the mirror which I cannot explain.

This type of image has appeared before in photographs of mirrors (see the article on Haunted Deadwood in a previous issue of Un-X News Magazine).

The presence stayed in the room for several minutes, then as quickly as it came, it was gone again. We took photos and moved on to the hall, and once again, I felt a presence on the stairs so snapped some photos. In one picture there is an unexplained white snake-like stream of light for which I can find no explanation. The photo taken Page 10

right afterwards shows nothing. If it were something mundane it would surely have shown up in both photographs.

Our next move was to visit the basement area. Once again, a few minutes after arriving I again felt and saw a presence - this time of an older man wearing a black suit.

He was very imposing. I saw him walk from one side of the room, straight in to the bar area and walk through the closed door. I could tell that this was something he did on a regular basis.

The bartender told me that this spot is the old tunnel entrance that went underground to the brewery. Apparently, Mr. Lemp did not want to go out in public to visit his brewery every day. This is something that is not generally known, so it confirms what I saw. There was a presence of a younger man in the room as well.

After our visit to this site I can say that the Lemp Mansion is definitely haunted and worth a visit for any serious ghost hunter. I’m looking forward to going back. ###

Skyfire Summit, the conference UFO researchers had been waiting for, is now available on DVD. In the fall of 2014, Travis Walton gathered speakers from around the world to the inaugural conference commemorating his alien abduction incident in Heber, Ariz., in 1975.

Additionally, earthquakes were reported September 2 at the New Madrid Fault area. The question is, is this a sign of something big about to happen?

Earthquakes have been increasing in frequency and intensity. According to a CNN report: “If you think there have been more earthquakes than usual this year, you’re right. A new study finds there were more than twice as many big earthquakes in the first quarter of 2014 as compared with the average since 1979.”

According to the USGS, the frequency of the earthquakes in the central and eastern United States has quintupled since 2010. Many of the earthquakes have been attributed to fracking, especially in Oklahoma and Arkansas, according to some scientists.

By Steve Erdmann “On the evening of March 24, 1967, a civilian truck driver Ken Williams, observed a large, domeshaped lighted object while driving near Belt, Montana (not far from Great Falls). The object was about a mile to his left and seemed to be pacing his truck at the same speed.

Soon the object stopped and hovered for a moment, then dropped into a ravine and landed. Williams observed it as it pulsated with a very bright white light. The object was also seen by Bud Nader, a Montana highway patrolman, before it left at high speed.”

Such UFO activity prefaced a peculiar invasion around the Malmstrom ballistic missile launch site, not just on March 24, but in the general area for several days.

On the same day of March 24, 1967, airman Sidney Young was

driving southwest on Montana Highway 200, about 20 miles from Great Falls, approximately six miles of G-7, when he observed a huge beam of light coming down from the sky. The edges of the cylindrical UFO were sharply defined and more importantly there was no “spill-out” of light. “This simply had to be a solid, white colored cylinder shape standing there in a fixed position,” said Young.

with a highly qualified rating at a Malmstrom Launch Control Center (LLC). While monitoring the weapons systems, maintenance and security activities, the Flight Security Controller (FSC) reported strange “lights” flying above the control center “capsule.”

“He went on to say that the lights were unusual in that they were making maneuvers that aircraft could not do,” says Salas. “They would move at high speed, stop abruptly, then reverse course and hover, and they were making no sound.”

A few minutes later, says Salas, the FSC called again, fearfully agitated, reporting that one of these lights was hovering above the facility’s front gate. He reported “the guards at the ready with their weapons drawn.” Salas commanded him to not let anything enter the perimeter of the facility. One of the guards tried to climb the fence and received a cut on his hand.

“There was some sort of attempt in progress to enter our facility,” says Salas. “And, of course, our facility had the responsibility to secure the nuclear weapons under our control.”

About this time Colonel Fred Meiwald had been notified, and the status board began to get audible alarms and indicator lights went on: “All of our missiles were indicating NO-GO; they were all disabled.”

CRAP OUT Lieutenant Robert Jamison was a targeting officer assigned to the 341st Missile Maintenance Squadron. Jamison stated in an affidavit that he was called out to restart the Oscar Flight. Jamison verified that all 10 missiles at Oscar Flight had gone NO-GO. His affidavit said that his team was ordered to “remain at the hanger, as a precaution, until all UFO reports from the field had ceased.” This took about three hours before they were given the go-ahead to proceed to Oscar Flight.

During briefings, Jamison was instructed to report any further UFO sightings to the Missile Command Post, and to also take self-defense measures if UFOs appeared while “performing missile repairs in the Page 15

They were also told of Echo Flight shutdowns due to UFOs that occurred on March 16, 1967.

Salas assigns a pseudonym to “Airman Smith” who was a targeting technician at the Echo Flight missiles on March 16, 1967; Smith was notified that the Echo Flight sites had gone down. Smith was finishing his work at Echo Flight LF and was beginning their startup procedure. At some point into the acquisition of the autocollimator light beam, acquisition failed.

“About this time, the top side security guard shook the ladder and motioned for Airman Smith to come up the ladder,” says Salas.

could see a large, glowing, orangecolored sphere, stationery at about 30 degrees from the horizon, in the direction of the gate and close to the site.”

Airman Smith notified the team chief who was visibly frightened by the sight of the object, Smith ordered the “shaken” guard to report the sighting to the Wing Command Post through the Sensitive Information Network (SIN), but the line would not connect.

Smith and two other teammembers tried the startup procedure several times, only to “crap out” at collimator acquisition.

The object was still above the site.

Smith observed a pulsation to the

light. He could feel an electric energy around him. “…he had the sense that the object was literally directing these pulses to a particular section of the ground operating equipment,” says Salas, “the Guidance and Control System Coupler.” A low hum projected from the object.

Smith surmised that the object knew a great deal about vulnerable parts of the missile system and “… that it could indeed,” says Salas, “disable the missile at will!”

NO BS ATTITUDE “The object was present for at least an hour; however, the guard told them later that it would periodically move away for a short time and then return,” says Salas.

startup; it left the area; the missile was then brought back to Alert status with no anomalies whatever during collimator acquisition.”

They were ordered to a debriefing section the next morning at the 341st MIMS hanger; they were escorted by security personnel. An anonymous lieutenant colonel with a “no bull-shit” attitude interrogated him. He instructed the witness that the debriefing “was classified and could be discussed with no human being.”

Salas tells of a plethora of mysterious encounters because of the UFO incidents. Base operations officer lieutenant Colonel Lewis Chase of the Wing Command Post contacted base commander Colonel Klibbe and discovered “numerous reports of sightings” in the area. The Air Force Chief of Staff and the Foreign Technology Division at Wright-Chief of staff and the Foreign Technology Division at Wright-Patterson (TDET) queried Chase about “… sightings…equipment malfunctions and abnormalities…” (Page 59.) Chase responded that there were no “abnormalities.” And that no one was silenced.

In June, 1967, the Condon UFO Committee investigators held meetings with the Air Force base concerning the incidents at Malmstrom. “The fact that missiles had been disabled during encounters with UFOs was clearly known to

SAC headquarters and higher,” says Salas. “And yet, the Air Force -sponsored Condon Study was intentionally kept in the dark about it.”

NON-UFO EVENT The Condon Committee investigators were led to believe that the cause of the shutdowns were nonUFO causes, possibly related to pulses from nuclear- explosiontesting. However, there were no nuclear-weapon-tests from March 10 through April 4, 1967. “(Raymond) Fowler had given Craig (Condon investigator) the names of civilian representative from Sylvania and Boeing who had firsthand knowledge of UFO sightings,” says Salas. “Fowler also gave Craig the name of a member of the Site Activation Task Force (SATAF) who was a very credible eyewitness. He reported being within a few feet of the object. In addition, one of the NCOs on the Air Force Technical Evaluation team admitted to seeing an object.”

Craig did not interview these or any Echo/Oscar Flight men at the time of the shutdowns. No maintenance or Security personnel at Echo were contacted by Condon Investigators.

“A scientific method consists of the collection of data, through observation and experimentation,

and the formulation and testing of hypotheses related to that data,” says Salas. “By its own admission, the Air Force did not give the (Condon) Study Group any hypothesis to prove or disprove. It did not provide the group with all the data it had in its possession, or access to witness.”

THE CONDON COMMITTEE Lieutenant Colonel Lewis Chase of the Wong Command Post gave the official position: “This office has no knowledge of equipment malfunctions and abnormalities in equipment during the period of reported UFO sightings.”

as the Condon Committee, as it is exposed as a fallacious scientific study on UFOs. Chase, the Air Force, and Condon Committee Investigators neatly circumnavigate around facts and real investigation. “(Raymond Fowler) also gave (Roy) Craig the name of a member of the Site Activation Task Force (SATAF) who was a very credible eyewitness,” says Salas. “He reported being within a few feet of the object. In addition, one of the NCOs on the Air Force Technical Evaluation Team admitted to seeing an object. There is no record of Craig interviewing these men.” (Page 69.)

Salas tells about the airman who called him and pleaded to talk about his sighting of the UFO at Oscar Flight. He had been “one of the security guards who had to stand in abject terror in front of this large, red, pulsating ball of light by our front gate, with only a rifle in his hands.” (Page 73.)

“The body of the evidence to support the truth of these incidents includes documents and witnesses testimonies that have been duly sworn to and/or stated publicly,” says Salas. “Therefore, I, without reservation, accuse the U.S Department of the Air of a blatant, per-

suasive, and continuing cover-up of the facts; deception; distortion; and lying to the public about the reality of the UFO phenomenon.”

ZERO-SUM GAME Salas chronologies the years of government cover-up, beginning with the famous September, 1948 “Top Secret estimate of the Situation” which says that genuine UFOs were interplanetary vehicles; he then goes through the changes of Project Sign, then Project Grudge, and also Project Bluebook, the Condon UFO Committee, and ending with the various government “silencing” (such as the 1952 UFO buzzing of our nation’s Capital, which led to the cre-

ation of The Robertson Panel of 1953).

The ever-growing need for secrecy has grown to garganteous proportions over the years, involving the citizenry in a “zero-sum game”: the government bets on total denial and total control of UFO events; those opposing that cabal, bet on total disclosure and open inquiry.

As long as that stalemate exists, no one wins.

“The prize is the entire pie,” says Salas. “We want total disclosure and the other side wants to keep the facts completely hidden.”

tionalized by an organization metaphorically termed by Salas as CORE- Command and Control – funded by “black projects” – a cabal that is apparently part of the military-industrial-complex.

UFO PHENOMENA OVERVIEW Salas mentions areas where independent scientists might prevail.

He mentions the research of the late Dr. James MacDonald, Dr. Roger Leir, Dr. Bruce Maccabee, and Jean-Pierre Petit’s work on magneto-hydrodynamics (MHD).

Further exploration in the book centered on little known UFO cases, some on or near military bases.

Salas tells of a May, 1975 case at the 44th Missile Wing, at Ellsworth Air Force Base. “Roger,” a newly

appointed Missile Combat Crew commander, while monitoring 10 Minute-man II missiles, was alerted by his security guard to a UFO buzzing the Base. The guards started firing their weapons at the object until they “expended all their ammunition!” When the object left, the status board stopped alternating between “ready to launch” and “missile fault.” (Page 155.)

Roger also noted 10-minutes of missing time. The following day, Roger was debriefed by an officer from the office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) (despite that it was an Air Force Base with an Air Force Office of Special Investigations [AFOSI]). He was given curious medical treatment, drugs, and hypnotism at a Base hospital.

NUCLEAR DETERENCE Salas firmly believes the solution to the UFO mystery lies in the deterrence of atomic weapons and a scientific and stable relationship with the extraterrestrials.

“Some abductees have been told that their ET visitors to earth are under a sort of obligation not to interfere with our evolutionary development, in either a positive or negative way,” says Salas.

“However, there seems to be no restriction to giving us positive messages to encourage our sustenance and growth.”

Salas concludes: “If there were fewer secrets among countries, no weapons of mass destruction to worry about, and nations working cooperatively to solve world problems instead of threatening each

other, then governments would have no excuse to hold secret the UFO phenomenon.”

TYPICAL NONAMERICAN UFO CASES Numerous ufologists and researchers have uncovered further cases of UFO activity at military missile-launch-sites; far too numerous to list here. The following are some typical cases that are exemplary. Several are from outside the United States.

A case occurred at the military base near Byelokoroviche, Ukraine, October 4, 1982 on an Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM) Base. A 20-year-old radio operator, Vladimir Matveyev (assigned to the 50th Missile Division RVSN, Carpathian Military District), along with a thousand soldiers and officers, saw a UFO in the evening, for almost an hour, as it hovered over the R-12 missile silos.

"It was unbelievable,” said Matveyey, “approximately one-and-ahalf kilometers from us hovered an elliptical-shaped object. The dimensions of the UFO shocked us-as large as a five-story house!

Barely-visible lights flew up to the object. The guys [and I] were on our way to dinner when we all saw it! The UFO continued to hover, slowly moving to the left, as if drifting. One officer tried to get closer to it in a car but the UFO

flew away. At this time all of the missile launchers malfunctioned.

The UFO [also] blocked radio signal reception in the bunker. We heard only complete silence, which we could not understand, because this had never happened before. We were [later] told that the radio equipment was burnt!"

Major Michael Katzman reported that the computer equipment and security systems had been disabled by a powerful [electromagnetic]

“' If you see a UFO, do not panic and do not shoot.' Then I realized why the officers who had their finger 'on the button' looked so old and had gray hair. ” pulse. He wrote that all of the control panels had [suddenly] lit up, indicating the missiles were preparing to launch toward their strategic targets. Katzman was responsible for the missiles’ guidance systems.

Former TsSBUiS [missile division] Chief Yuri Zolotukhin reported, "I too was a witness to these events and also saw the UFO, but could not reveal what had happened to the sensitive equipment because I signed a non-disclosure document [designed to] protect state secrets."

These events happened in the underground bunker where the missile control panels display the misPage 21

siles' readiness status. The panels lit up, indicating that the missiles had gone to full combat readiness and were preparing to launch.

This is possible only after obtaining an order from Moscow; instead, this happened by itself.

The officers on duty at their battle stations were shocked. They said that the information appearing on the control panels indicated that all security measures designed to prevent an unauthorized launch of the missiles had been overridden!

Within just a few seconds, the launch officers had lost control over their nuclear weapons. They instantaneously contacted Moscow. The reply they got was that no order to launch had been issued. After 15 seconds, all of the controls reset to the normal position.

Former rocketeer Vladimir Matveyev said, "A few days later, a commission came to the base and interviewed the witnesses. The guys gave them their drawings of the UFO. One of the officers swore on his [Communist] Party membership that he wasn't drunk. A few days later we were lined up [for our morning inspection by our officers] and read an order from the Commander-in-Chief of the Strategic Rocket Forces, designated number R010, which said, 'If you see a UFO, do not panic Continued on next page...

This incident was first publicized on October 5, 1994, on the ABC News program Prime Time Live.

Among those interviewed was retired Army Lt. Col. Vladimir Plantonev, who described the UFO to reporter David Ensor: “It looked just like a flying saucer. The way they show them in the movies. No portholes, nothing. The surface was absolutely even. The disc made a beautiful turn, like this, on the edge, just like a plane. Michael Hesemann spoke in 1998 about a similar case: A UFO buzzing happened on July 28, 1989 near the Kapustin Yar military base near the nuclear site in the Astrakhan region of the Caspian lowlands. Members of two Army units noticed about midnight a UFO that hovered over the arsenal. The handwritten KGB report does not contain the type of missiles, but states that four of the witnesses were interrogated by the KGB. "I climbed up to the watchtower and watched the object at a height of 18 feet,” said one witness, V.

Voloshin, the communications officer on duty. “I could clearly make out a glaring blinking signal, bright as a camera flash. The object flew over the stores of the unit and moved in the direction of the missile arsenal, about 1,000 feet away.

It floated at a height of only 60 feet above the depot. The UFO glowed in a kind of phosphorescent green.

It was a disc 12 to 15 feet in diameter with a semi-spherical dome on it."

The witness continued: “While the object was hovering above the arsenal, a bright ray appeared on its underside where the light had been

Soon, however, it came back to the missile depot and hovered at a height of 180-200 feet above it. Two hours after the start of the sighting, the object flew in the direction of the town Akhtubinsk and disappeared out of our sight," The soldier G. Kulik adds: "Near the object in the sky I saw a fireball which arose from the earth and approached it. When the UFO moved towards me, I could physically feel its approach. Then it shot Page 22

TYPICAL ADDITIONAL WITNESSES Robert Hastings has become a famous spokesperson on the topic of UFO interference and buzzing’s at military bases around the globe. He has collected a consortium of reports. Over the past 39 years, he has have interviewed more than 130 former or retired U.S. military personnel who were involved in UFO incidents at ICBM launch facilities, weapons storage depots, strategic bomber bases, or atmospheric test sites in Nevada and the Pacific. The following is a typical report from his September 5, 2014 briefing “UFOs Activating U.S. and Soviet Nuclear Missile Sites.”

Staff Sgt. Louis D. Kenneweg, a former Minuteman ICBM maintenance clerk, 341st Missile Maintenance Squadron, Malmstrom AFB, Montana, was involved in a UFOto-missile shut down in 1967 at a Missile Maintenance Squadron (MIMS).

His duties at the MIMS hangar included issuing Technical Order kits (T.O.s) to other members of his squadron.

Kenneweg explained: “Each of the repair teams would be required to take T.O.’s in the truck with them.

The kit included books or manuals that would contain technical information that the technicians could look up rather than rely on memory. There was also a check list in plastic sleeves, kind of like a pre-flight checklist for a pilot that they would use before removing the warhead from the missile. Of course there was an awful lot of supervision when that occurred.”

One night, (though the date is uncertain) around 11:45 P.M. Kenneweg was driving to work when he noticed something unusual in the sky.

“As I traveled down one of the roads parallel to the flightline,” he said, “I saw something that I first thought was a private plane’s lights, blinking. As I watched it get closer, I realized that it wasn't blinking at all, but zig-zagging.

First here, then there, traveling too fast for a plane.

Then looming over the flightline.

I got up late, and I knew that I had little time, but I stopped anyway. I opened the car door, got out, and focused on the lights. I watched it as long as I could, without being late to work. I remember saying to myself that this pilot was going to be in a lot of trouble, coming across the runway, or at least across the Air Force Base property. I don’t remember it traveling that close to me, but I do remember the image of it disappearing in a low southerly trajectory over the [MIMS] hangar.

Of course, it was much farther away than it appeared. At that point, it wasn't ‘blinking’ anymore but had more of a glow. It appeared as a bright light the size of the moon, on a cloudy night, although I don't remember it being cloudy.”

(Based on Kenneweg’s description of his UFO sighting, during which the object appeared to be near or over Malmstrom’s flightline at one point, Hastings speculates that the UFO may have briefly maneuvered near the base’s nuclear Weapons Storage Area [WSA], which is locat-

ed just east of the main runway.

“The WSA contains Minuteman missile nuclear warheads, known as Re-entry Vehicles [RVs]. A review of aerial photographs of Malmstrom, which show the WSA, coupled with an analysis of Kenneweg’s probable position near the MIMS hangar, lead to this conjecture. Regardless, another UFO sighting at the WSA, some years later, has been confirmed by two other sources: Malmstrom AFB, Montana [1975]”).

Upon arriving at the MIMS hangar, Kenneweg was confronted by a scene of high activity.

Still puzzled about the strange, zig -sagging light, Kenneweg walked toward the Air Police office, where APs were routinely assigned to accompany the maintenance teams into the missile fields, guarding their trucks and the silos once they opened the gates.

Kenneweg asked the Air Police sergeant on duty whether the base had any helicopters up. The ser-

geant replied that the helicopters didn’t have radar and didn’t fly at night.

Kenneweg continued: “Back at the office, I issued almost all of the [T.O.] kits on the shelf. I remember saying to myself, ‘I'm running out of kits, this is a busy night.’

Now, I didn’t check the sign-out sheet to see how many kits had been checked out before my shift, but while I was on duty, I did recall that they were almost all checked out. As I count them off in my head today, and try to see them on the shelf, we had a wall with 3 shelves that would hold 25 or so.”

A lot of missiles were either undergoing routine maintenance, Kenneweg surmised, and/or had gone off Strategic Alert for another reason, all at the same time.

When the maintenance teams returned to the MIMS hangar— Kenneweg first thought that it had been some three hours later, but upon reflection, now believes that it was more than 24 hours later, during his next shift—one of the technicians hinted that something out of the ordinary had taken place in the missile field.

“One of the guys mentioned to me that some very weird things were going on that night,” said Kenneweg,“It takes two guys to

carry the T.O. kit, and there were other guys behind him, waiting in line to get checked in, and they were all nodding their heads in agreement, yes. But this guy said that he couldn’t talk about it right then. He said he would tell me all about it back at the barracks.

Well, like I have said before, I was busy working [a second job] at the Red Lion Supper Club and didn't really have that serious sit-down conversation with that particular airman. But the barracks was buzzing. Stories about how when they got to the [missile silos] and found no damage, and how all the batteries were dead. I also heard a story that [UFOs] were seen on radar, then they were gone.”

He continued: “Our missile sites Page 24

each had a tertiary power system.

The main power source was delivered by Montana Power. Telephone poles, transformers and wire. The second system was the diesel generators, and the third was the battery back-up within the silo itself.

Numerous reports came back saying that they had found no damage to the fences, wires, transformers, microwave intrusion system, locks on the three-foot-thick concrete blast doors, or to the batteries. So, no evidence of damage from intruders or animals, lightning or fire. Just three sources of power vanished and the batteries were dead.”

“As I recall,” Kenneweg said, “there were other nights where the

AUTOMOBILE INTERFERENCE UFO reports are rife with incidents of automobile engine interference.

Scientist James M. McCampell summarized twenty-seven cases were engines had been killed by a nearby UFO and then come back to life again when the UFO departs (Abstract: UFO Interference with Vehicles and Self-starting Engines): “Should a non-firing engine come to rest with one cylinder past topdead-center, it would entrap a suitable mixture of fuel and air to be ignited by the next arriving spark thereby cranking the engine,” said McCampell, “Such an event might result from collapse of a gaseous discharge across open breaker points in the distributor. If the discharge had been sustained by ionization of the atmospheric gases caused by the UFO, it would collapse shortly after departure of the UFO. “# The hypothesis that ionization of the atmospheric gases by UFOs appears to have some merit. It has pinpointed physical processes that can clarify the malfunctioning and killing of engines and, in particular, the hitherto incredible claims that engines restarted themselves. “# It teaches us that credence

should be lent to sighting reports no matter how bizarre their content. “# The success of the hypothesis also implies that some UFOs are probably physical machines because their reported influence upon motor vehicles is physical. “# Radiation from UFOs is apparently associated with their propulsion system and every effort should be made to determine all the electromagnetic parameters. In doing so, one would expect to find, not a group of accidental quantities, but an integrated design optimization by those who manufacture UFOs.” AN ENVISIONED RESEARCH McCampell offered some conclusions: “Concepts discussed here are subject to experimental verification.

Although the equipment required may not be available to an independent researcher, it could easily be assembled by a substantial laboratory. A research program is envisioned in three stages: “1. Investigate individual components of the electrical system in a simulated environment to establish the level of ionization required to produce high-voltage sparks and low-voltage arcs.

“2. Attempt to disrupt running engines with simulated sources of ionization such as a radioactive source lowered into the engine compartment and, particularly, Page 25

near the distributor.

“3. Measure the ionization produced by microwave radiation over a broad range of wavelengths and intensities. Then flood a running engine with ionizing microwaves, measuring the level of ionization and microwave intensity. Determine the values required to produce engine malfunction and stoppage. A study of UFO characteristics may have led earthly scientists to invent similar devices of our own: “The development of an X-ray pulse generator by the Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences has attracted the attention of Vassily Kashin, a expert at Russia’s Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies, according to Moscow-based Sputinks News.

Kashin believes that China’s electromagnetic weapon system based on the X-ray pulse generator has the potential to create a huge challenge to the United States in the Asia-Pacific region. It could be used to paralyze the air defense and anti-ballistic missile systems of the United States and its security part-

QUESTIONS AND WARNINGS FOR THE FUTURE Another officer involved in the UFO buzzing at an air base, Colonel Charles Halt, witnessed a discshaped object shooting beams of light onto the joint Anglo/ American RAF Bentwaters airbase in England on December 26-28, 1980. The lights were reportedly near the base’s nuclear weapons storage area. Halt said: “I believe that the security services of both the United States and the United Kingdom have attempted — both then and now — to subvert the significance of what occurred at RAF Bentwaters by the use of well-practiced methods of disinformation.”

Along with the other officers who speak out on the topic, Robert Hastings said that he and his convention of witnesses will continue

to discuss the national security implications of these and other UFO incidents, and they will urge the government to come clean about the subject. His group of witnesses will continue to speak-out on the following questions: Why do UFOs continue to appear at nuclear weapons sites, decade after decade?

What time is the Supermoon lunar eclipse 2015?

Earth's shadow will begin to dim the "supermoon" slightly, beginning at 8.11 pm EDT, according to a report.

Late on Sept. 27, 2015, in the U.S. and much of the world, a total lunar eclipse will mask the moon's larger-than-life face for more than an hour.

But what is this behemoth of the night sky? Not a bird, not a plane, it's a supermoon! Although this incarnation of the moon comes around only once every year, it's not as mysterious as you might think.

"Because the orbit of the moon is not a perfect circle, the moon is sometimes closer to the Earth than at other times during its orbit," said Noah Petro, deputy project scientist for the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt,

Maryland. "When the moon is farthest away it's known as apogee, and when it's closest it's known as perigee. On Sept. 27, we're going to have a perigee full moon—the closest full moon of the year."

The orbit of the moon around Earth is inclined to the axis of Earth and the orbital plane of all these things just falls into place every once in a while. When the rhythms line up, you might get three to four eclipses in a row or a supermoon and an eclipse happening."

But the proverbial stars only align for this event once every few decades, making this phenomenon much rarer than a supermoon or a lunar eclipse separately. The last supermoon/lunar eclipse combination occurred in 1982 and the next won't happen until 2033. "That's rare because it's something an entire generation may not have seen," said Petro.

1957 UFO Sighting Reported in National Guard Newsletter

of an old 1957 Kansas National Guard Newsletter (Volume II Number 12) in which an article written by CWO H.E. :Paulson, 137th Inf. Describes a UFO apparently observing the Armory.

The UFO was described as cigarshaped, silver in color and apparently wingless by witness M/Sgt. Robert Shaymeyer, who saw the object while raising the flag at 0800 hours on or about June 3. At first the Sargent thought it was just another jet aircraft that he saw on a regular basis in the Kansas City area, but noted that the object had no wings.

The object “Passed over the armory, made a complete turn disappeared in a northeasterly direction,” according to Shaymeyer. He watched the object for approximately two minutes. Apparently, it was not seen by anyone else at the armory.

Sgt Shaumeyer said that he could hardly believe what he had seen, but in light of the number of unidentified aircraft that had been reported in the greater Kansas City area, he chalked it up as “probably just another one of those Flying Saucers.”

The author goes on to comment “ if the object was a flying saucer and if it was making a reconnaissance of the National Guard Armory, perhaps the sight of such a magnificent military structure will help frighten off any would-be invaders. “

Apparently, Kansas City has been a UFO hot spot for some time. According to Un-X News research, UFOs were reported in the area since the 1940’s.

Fairy Rings Explained According to folklore, these strange-looking rings are made by the week folk, but modern science attributes them to something a little less magical

everal years ago I was called regarding a possible crop circle or UFO landing at radio station KGRA in Liberty, Missouri. The station owner wondered if “They” might have caused the strange rings in the grass after a serious of unexplained events at the station which seemed to coincide with my interviews with UFO researchers.

I investigated the rings and found several ranging in size from 7’ in diameter to 70’ in diameter. The

grass in the rings, which measured about 8” 12” in depth each, was very dark and lush compared to the grass inside and outside the rings which in early April had not yet begun to turn green.

I took some soil samples and examined them under a microscope to find that the ground inside the dark ring had white mycelium in it, indicating that these were indeed Fairy Rings. While the name implies something mystical, the munPage 30

dane explanation is that the rings are the result of long-dead and gone trees with fungi growing in a near perfect circle. The mushrooms had not yet started to grow, but soon would.

As the years go by, the rings move further and further out, seeking nutrients and nitrogen in the soil As the nutrients are depleted the fungi appears in a wider circle the next year.

Apparently, these rings had been in this location for many years due to their enormous size. However,

the station owner said that this was the first year he noticed them. At that time, we had been experiencing an unusual amount of rain, which may have been a factor.

According to Hans Haas in his book The Young Specialist looks at Fungi, some fungi also produce chemicals which act like hormones called gibberellins, which affect plant growth, causing rapid luxuriant growth. Hence, the darkened lush green grass in the KCXL circles.

A quick call to Nancy Talbott from BLT Research Team confirmed my suspicion. Nancy said that while she had never heard of a Fairy Ring as large as 70’ feet in diameter it was nonetheless a possibility.

William Shakespeare included fairy circles in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Act II Scene I: “And I serve the fairy queen, to dew her orbs upon the green.”

And again in The Tempest, Act V, Scene I: “ … you demi-puppets that by moonshine do the green sour ringlets make, Whereof the ewe not bites, and you whose pastime is to make midnight mushrooms, that rejoice to hear the solemn curfew..”

Generally, the rings were avoided because it was believed that they were bad luck., however, some traditions believed that the rings were made by the dancing of elves or fairies. Some people have claimed to have joined in a dance with fairies in a circle during the night under moonlight, which is where a ring of mushrooms would appear the next day.

Superstition regards fairy circles as sacred and warns against entering one, or the fairies might be angered. Fairies are said to be able to place curses on people who violate their space. An old Scottish poem warns of the danger: He wha tills the fairies' green Nae luck again shall hae : And he wha spills the fairies' ring Betide him want and wae.

For weirdless days and weary nights Are his till his deein' day.

Many legends speak of humans who enter a fairy ring, only to become trapped by the fairies who forced them to dance until they went insane or died of exhaustion.

In one such Irish tale from the early 1800’s, a man happened to accidentally walk inside a fairy ring to find dozens of fairies which had previously been invisible. He sat town to talk with them and have a drink, then bid them farewell after Page 32

only a few minutes. When he arrived home, he found another family living in his house and soon found out that he had been gone for over 30 years in mortal time.

The moral of the tale was never to take food or drink from a fairy and never enter their space.

In a tale from the Cambrian Mountains of Wales in the 19th century a mortal encounters a fairy ring: ... he saw the Tylwyth Teg, in appearance like tiny soldiers, dancing in a ring. He set out for the scene of revelry, and soon drew near the ring where, in a gay company of males and females, they were footing it to the music of the harp.

Never had he seen such handsome people, nor any so enchantingly cheerful. They beckoned him with laughing faces to join them as they leaned backward almost falling, whirling round and round with joined hands. Those who were dancing never swerved from the perfect circle; but some were clambering over the old cromlech, and others chasing each other with surprising swiftness and the greatest glee. Still others rode about on small white horses of the most beautiful form ... All this was in silence, for the shepherd could not hear the harps, though he saw them. But now he drew nearer to the circle, and finally ventured to put his foot in the magic ring. The instant he did this, his ears were charmed with strains of the most melodious music he had ever heard.�

Mysterious desert fairy circles share pattern with skin cells OKINAWA INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (OIST) GRADUATE UNIVERSITY

Patterns appearing on both the very large and very small scale are extremely rare, but researchers at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST) in Japan have found a similar pattern in two apparently unrelated systems -- skin cells and fairy circles in the Namibian desert.

"It's a completely amazing, strange match," said Prof. Robert Sinclair, who heads the Mathematical Biology Unit at OIST. Desert fairy circles are considered one of nature's greatest mysteries because no one knows how they form. Different from mushroom rings, these fairy circles are large barren patches of earth ringed by short grass dotting the desert like craters on the moon or big freckles. Several groups are racing to figure out this bizarre phenomenon. Sinclair and his collaborator, Haozhe Zhang, believe they have identified a small, but vital piece of the puzzle.

The distribution of fairy circles throughout the desert may look random, but turns out to have a pattern that very closely matches the distribution pattern of skin

To conduct the analysis, Sinclair and Zhang compared the number of neighbors adjacent to fairy circles and skin cells. They took satellite images of fairy circles, and a computer drew lines halfway between each pair of circles to designate invisible boundaries, much like cell walls. The computer then counted how many neighbors surround each fairy circle. Other researchers had calculated skin cell neighbors several years ago.

"I didn't expect it to be so close," Sinclair said. "We spent a lot of time checking because it really looked too close to believe."

Many theories about how fairy circles form -- from rolling zebras to underground gases to dying trees -have been proven incorrect. Now, some scientists are developing mathematical models attempting to explain the origin of fairy circles.

"These models have to incorporate our results," said Zhang, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Statistics at Iowa State University, Continued on page 38

How to Get Rid of Ghosts Things ghost hunters and homeowners should know Before considering asking spirits to leave a place, think about what would happen if they were gone. Are ghosts good for business in a hotel or restaurant? If so, the owners may not want the spirits to leave. If the spirit likes being in a location, are they hurting anyone by being there? If not, maybe the best thing to do is to leave them alone. However, if the ghost is scaring people and you need to get rid of it there are a few methods that have worked well for me.

The first method is to simply ask the ghost to leave. That may sound too simple, but it usually works. You may want to talk to it and explain why by saying “You are scaring us,” or “This is ____________’s house and she is not comfortable having you here.”, then calmly ask it to go away. If this doesn’t work right away, try talking in a firmer voice without yelling or getting angry. Anger only gives more power to negative spirits As I mentioned earlier, ghosts may not be aware that they are dead, so you may have to explain to them that they are no longer part of the physical world and that they should look around for their spirit guides and move on towards the

light. I close my eyes and visualize the spirit going into the light and ask the spirit to go to the light with their family members. There are always loved ones waiting to assist a spirit cross over.. This method has been very successful for me. Some spirits are reluctant, but if you tell them that it will be better for them this way, they eventually move on.

If the spirit simply refuses, try not giving it any attention or talking about it at all. This takes energy away from the spirit. Don’t show any fear, because the energy of fear empowers negative spirits. Also do not use a Ouija board or have anything to do with the supernatural, which could open doors to the spirit world and allow the spirit more access during the time you are trying to get it to leave.

Go about your daily routine, and when something happens that can only be attributed to a ghost try to ignore it. The ghost may give up and move on if its intentions were only to get your attention.

If you don’t feel like you are communicating, call in an experienced medium. This can usually be accomplished in one visit. If the medium finds that the spirit wants help with something, and it is something they can do, or you can do, by all means go ahead and do it. That may be the only reason the spirit is staying behind. If there is nothing you can do, have the medium communicate that you wish you could help but you can’t, and it would be best for the spirit to move on.

If it looks like the problem is more sinister, or there are multiple spirits in the house, you will probably want to engage the services of an experienced professional psychic, medium, or ghost hunter. Find someone who has a lot of experience and check references if possible.

For protection, place clear quartz crystals and obsidian around the house, and smudge the house with sage and/or cedar smudge sticks.
