UNIFIED VOICES AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Gathered around the common goal – fight against domestic violence, Government, OSCE and the UN in Montenegro pooled their forces together one more time to address this problem. Three parties jointly called for renewed efforts to end violence against women and all forms of violence in family on a joint press conference organised on International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women.

Within the “Every Child Needs a Family” campaign, UNICEF Montenegro Representative Benjamin Perks participated in number of events to increase the support to fostering in Montenegro. The most common the activities were “Open days” held in Kolašin, Mojkovac, Pljevlja, Šavnik, Plužine, Danilovgrad, Budva, Bijelo Polje, Plav, Herceg Novi and Bar. All interested citizens had a chance to find out more about fostering. Furthermore, Mr. Perks met with religious leaders in Montenegro, whose support can contribute to increase the number of foster parents in the country and decrease the number of children growing up in institutions in Montenegro. GLOBAL INNOVATION MEETING IN MONENEGRO

Montenegro hosted UNDP’s 3-day Global Innovation Meeting, the first global gathering organized by this UN Agency in the country. The meeting gathered 75 UNDP senior level executives and innovation champions from 29 countries at 4 continents. Montenegro has been selected building on successful initiatives in the field of knowledge and innovation.

Okupljeni oko zajedničkog cilja - borba protiv nasilja u porodici, Vlada Crne Gore, Misija OEBS-a i Sistem UN u Crnoj Gori još jednom su udružili snage kako bi zajednički pozvali na obnavljanje napora za okončanje svih oblika nasilja u porodici. Zajedničkom konferencijom za novinare organizovanom na Medjunarodni dan borbe protiv nasilja nad ženama, počela je kampanja "16 dana aktivizma protiv nasilja u porodici". VIŠE INFORMACIJA

ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE CAMPAIGN “EVERY CHILD NEEDS A FAMILY”

UJEDINJENIM SNAGAMA PROTIV NASILJA U PORODICI

AKTIVNOSTI U OKVIRU KAMPANJE “SVAKO DIJETE TREBA PORODICU”

U okviru kampanje “Svako dijete treba porodicu”, šef predstavništva UNICEF-a u Crnoj Gori, Bendžamin Perks, učestvovao je u brojnim aktinostima u cilju povećanja podrške hraniteljstvu u Crnoj Gori. Najčešće aktivnosti bili su dani otvorena vrata, održani u Kolašinu, Mojkovcu, Pljevljima, Šavniku, Plužinama, Danilovgradu, Budvi, Bijelom Polju, Plavu, Herceg Novom i Baru. Zainteresovani gradjani imali su priliku da saznaju više o hraniteljstvu. Takodje, gospodin Perks se sastao sa vjerskim liderima u Crnoj Gori, čija podrška može doprinijeti povećanju broja hranitelja u zemlji i smanjenju broja djece koja odrastaju u institucijama.

GLOBALNI SKUP POSVEĆEN INOVACIJAMA U CRNOJ GORI

Crna Gora bila je domaćin trodnevnog Globalnog skupa Programa Ujedinjenih nacija za razvoj (UNDP) posvećenog inovacijama, prvog globalnog skupa koji je ta agencija UN organizovala u ovoj zemlji. Skup je okupio 75 izvršnih rukovodilaca i prvake u inovacijama iz 29 zemalja sa 4 kontinenta. Crna Gora je odabrana za domaćina na osnovu uspješnih inicijativa u području inovacija. FOTO GALERIJA

STRENGTHENING THE LINK BETWEEN THE SCIENCE AND THE SOCIETY

The UNESCO World Science Day for Peace and Development was celebrated for the first time in Montenegro, focusing on the importance of water. Celebration was organised by the Ministry of Science of Montenegro together with UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe, Venice (Italy) and the Montenegro National Commission for UNESCO. Ministarstvo nauke Crne Gore, u saradnji sa Regionalnim biroom UN za nauku i kulturu u Evropi (UNESCO) i Nacionalnom komisijom za UNESCO za Crnu Goru, ove godine je prvi put obilježilo UNESCO Svjetski dan nauke koji je bio posvećen vodama. EXTENSION OF THE DEADLINE FOR APPLYING FOR THE STATUS OF FOREIGNER

Government of Montenegro adopted the conclusion whereby it recommended extension of the deadline for applying for the status of foreigner for another year, through amendments of the Law on Foreigners. The new Law on Foreigners is being drafted, and Ministry of Interior is requested to include a provision on extension which will allow DPs and IDPs residing to submit applications for permanent or temporary residence by 31 December 2014. Vlada Crne Gore usvojila je zaključak kojim predlaže produženje roka za prijavu za status stranca za još jednu godinu, kroz amandmane Zakona o strancima. Tekst novog Zakona je u pripremi a od Ministarstva unutrašnjih poslova se traži da uključi novu odredbu po kojoj raseljena i interno raseljena lica sa prebivalištem u Crnoj Gori mogu da podnesu zahtjev za trajni ili privremeni boravak do 31. decembra 2014. godine.

A donor conference was organized to present the results of the Montenegro Demilitarization Programme (MONDEM), by the Ministry of Defense, OSCE Mission to Montenegro and UNDP. Attendees were addressed by Minister of Defence Milica Pejanović-Đurišić, OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier and UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative to Montenegro Rastislav Vrbensky.

DONATORSKA KONFERENCIJA ZA PROGRAM MONDEM

Rezultati programa demilitarizacije Crne Gore (MONDEM) predstavljeni su na donatorskoj konferenciji koju su organizovali Ministarstvo odbrane, Misija OEBS u Crnoj Gori i UNDP. Tom prilikom prisutnima su se obratili ministarka odbrane Milica Pejanovic-Djurišić, generalni sekretar OSCE Lomberto Zanijer, kao i koordinator Sistema UN i stalni predstavnik UNDP u Crnoj Gori Rastislav Vrbenski.

OPENING OF SENSORY ROOM IN THE DAY CARE CENTRE IN NIKŠIĆ

PRODUŽENJE ROKA ZA PRIJAVU ZA STATUS STRANCA

The opening of the new sensory room in the Day Care Centre for Children with Disabilities in Nikšić marked the three years of operation of this institution. The sensor room has the purpose of stimulating the senses of children with disabilities. This method helps in developing the correct sense of the external world, controls aggression and relaxes the children. UNICEF Montenegro provided a 10,000 Euros donation to help equip the room in the Day Care Centre.

OTVORENA SENZORNA SOBA U DNEVNOM CENTRU U NIKŠIĆU

Otvaranjem senzorne sobe u Dnevnom Centru za djecu sa posebnim potrebama u Nikšiću obilježeno je tri godine rada te ustanove. UNICEF Crna Gora obezbijedio je donaciju od 10.000 Eura za opremanje sobe. Šef predstavništva UNICEF-a za Crnu Goru, Bendžamin Perks, izjavio je da su dnevni centri najbolji pokazatelj posvecenosti stanovnika i vlade Crne Gore da se djeci koja nijesu u mogucnosti da pohadjaju redovnu nastavu omoguci da se osjete kao dio zajednice. ENGAGE TO CHANGE - MONTENEGRO ON TWITTER

The project "Montenegro on Twitter - Join the changes" has been launched with the aim to empower social activism through this social network. Its authors, Center for Democratic Transition (CDT) and UNDP Montenegro sent out a public invitation to the Montenegrin Twitter community and other interested citizens to follow @cgtvituje, underlining that interesting people and professionals will tweet from it. Partners in the project are the Robin Hood Show (TVCG) and the Vijesti portal. MORE INFORMATION

UKLJUCI SE U PROMJENE - CRNA GORA NA TVITERU

Projekat „Crna Gora na Tviteru - Ukljuci se u promjene!“ pokrenut je u cilju osnaživanja društvenog aktivizma putem te društvene mreže. Autori projekta - Centar za demokratsku tranziciju (CDT) i Kancelarija UNDP u Crnoj Gori, uputili su javni poziv crnogorskoj tviter zajednici i ostalim zainteresovanim gradjanima da počnu da prate nalog @cgtvituje, jer će sa njega tvitovati zanimljivi ljudi i profesionalci iz Crne Gore.
