UN Women's new logo was revealed on 25 January. The logo is a modern take on the familiar women's symbol, bringing together a number of elements to represent both men and women as well as gender equality worldwide more

BRUSSELS On The Occasion of the International Women’s Day: Avant‐ Première DIE FREMDE (When We Leave) by Feo ALADAG In partnership with BOZAR, ABC Distribution, Goethe Institut, UNRIC, Lux Prize, Amazone and Festival Elles Tournent, UN Women will organize on 7 March 2011 the Avant-Première in Brussels of the film Die Fremde, in presence of its director Feo Aladag. The film reflects unequal women’s place in societies and the problem of violence against women, including domestic violence and so-called “honour killings”. These difficult social issues touched and motivated Feo Aladag to make this film which won several prizes in 2010, including the Lux Prize from the European Parliament, the International Film Festival in Ghent and the Film Festival in Berlin.
