BURN CENTER VERIFICATION The American Burn Association (ABA) conducted a site visit of the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center on June 18th, 2021. The ABA Burn Center Verification Review Committee approved the site report and has approved the Burn Center for re-verification as an Adult and Pediatric Burn Center through July 31, 2024. They commended the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center for its continued commitment to excellence and its dedication to providing quality burn care to patients.

Thank You My name is Kim McNairy and I was a patient at the Burn Center from May 12 - 27, 2021 in room 5414. Until now, I had never spent a night in a hospital so I had no idea what to expect. From the moment I was admitted until my discharge, I was treated better than I could have possibly imagined at the Burn Center. And this wonderful treatment goes from the person that cleaned my room, to the person that gave me my medications, the person that performed my surgery.

I was consistently treated with respect and dignity as was my spouse. The nurses, NA’s, PT’s, OT’s and HUC’s showed great patience with my many questions and concerns. I never felt rushed in any of our conversations. Being burned, as you well know, is a very frightening experience. Everyone made me feel comfortable and at ease. It was obvious that my wellbeing was their top priority as well as staying on top of my pain.
You all run a top notch organization and I cannot thank you enough for the fabulous care I received while in the hospital as well as in my follow up appointments.
