Belvedere C_ABE Center Design IX | Spring 2013 MISSION + GOALS The new C_ABE building will provide Philadelphia University with a new College of Architecture building that is not only on the cutting edge of technology but also acts as a connective tissue between the campus and the surrounding communities, the old and the new, and the past and the future. With the addition of the new C_ABE building we hope to incorporate and focus on integrating the school of architecture into one centralized location, while encouraging a collaborative studio work and learning environment. This building will not only reflect the sustainability aspects so heavily incorporated into our learning system but will show the spirit of Philadelphia University and its ongoing relationship with the nearby neighborhoods. The C_ABE building will become the newest architecture studio building in Philadelphia, and with that it is our responsibility to show how the future of architecture is unfolding. Philadelphia University will be pioneering the way for the future.

TD CORES TD Bank Competition DesignVIII | Spring 2012
22
TD Cores is designed to express the importance of community, choices, sustainability and commerce which are Design all stressed in the image of the bank of the future.
Core Development
Each core is developed specifically for a particular banking or community activity. The amount of time customers are expected to spend in the space determine the size and shape of each core.
Prefab & Variation
These prefabricated modules allow for numerous variations on the organization of the bank, making the design adaptable to different sites.
Connection Community sustainability
Every core is connected to the main core which consists of the most basic and necessary banking functions. These cores essentially “plug into the main core. As the bank of the future. people may make transactions, meet with professionals. Learn about banking on their own, or simply spend time there. Sustainable elements can be found throughout the cores as well as surrounding the building itself. There are various green processes and materials incorporated throughout the design
