The field itself has one of the finest playing surfaces in the country. The stadium was named in honor of Doug and Linda Harmon for their generous contribution to its construction costs. The Harmons pledged matching grants of $25,000 to the baseball stadium in 1990 and $10,000 in 1991. Stadium dimensions measure 325 feet down the right and left field foul lines, 365 feet up the power alleys and 400 feet to center. THE UNF TENNIS COMPLEX Men’s & Women’s Tennis The University of North Florida Tennis Complex contains 11 lighted hard courts -including a fenced stadium court -- along with a covered seating area for fans. Seven additional courts are located alongside the main complex.
The courts underwent a transformation with a court resurfacing and fence replacement over the past year. The project began in July 2007 and was completed in September 2008. Adjacent to the courts is a brick building that contains the offices of the head men’s and women’s tennis coaches, restrooms, and a large meeting area.
COOPER BEACH VOLLEYBALL COMPLEX Beach Volleyball The Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex became one of the premiere on-campus beach volleyball campus facilities in collegiate athletics when it opened February 8, 2020. “The Coop” is located just north of the UNF Softball Complex and features five courts, a digital scoreboard and bleachers that seat a capacity of 300 people.

University of North Florida beach volleyball held its inaugural season in 2012, and since then the Ospreys have hosted home events at Jacksonville Beach, Jacksonville University or in St. Augustine, Fla. Osprey beach volleyball held its inaugural contests on campus Friday, Feb. 21 when it hosted FIU, FAU, Georgia State and Mercer in a historic day for the University of North Florida. The final push to complete the construction’s funding came from the generous donation from Dwight and Christine Cooper’s “Cooper Family Foundation”. A resident of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Dwight Cooper is a member of the UNF Foundation Board, former UNF assistant men’s basketball coach (1991-95), founder and CEO of Hueman People Solutions and founder of the Fortune magazine featured PPR Talent Management Group located in Jacksonville Beach, Fla. The sand was provided by Vulcan Materials Company and the beach volleyball regulation netting was constructed by Robert “Butch” Hendrick and Sand Court Experts.
