AN OSPREY WIN WOULD...

-Give UNF its second road win of the year. -Make UNF 4-2 all-time against FIU. -Give UNF its fourth consecutive win against FIU. -Make UNF 5-0 in the state of Florida this season. -Make the Ospreys 2-0 against C-USA teams this year.

WHEN WINNING

UNF is 2-0 on Saturday this year ... when UNF has fewer turnovers than its opponents the Ospreys are 4-0 ... North Florida is 4-0 when grabbing more boards than the other team ... UNF is 5-0 when holding foes to less than 40 percent shooting ... the Ospreys are 5-0 when leading at the half.

LAST TIME OUT

AUBURN, Ala. - Tatiana Thompson drilled a three-pointer to give UNF a 63-60 lead at the 5:27 mark in the fourth quarter, but the host Auburn Tigers (4-3) rattled off a late run to take the lead for good as North Florida (5-3) came up short, 7265, Tuesday, Nov. 30.

DOUBLE TROUBLE

Jazz Bond and Emma Broermann have a combined five double-doubles this season.

Bond paces the way with three while Broermann has a pair. Bond ranks first in the league in that category.

FIZZLE SIZZLE

Known as Fizzle per her social media alias, Jazz Bond sizzled last week, averaging 25.5 points and 11 rebounds per game to earn her fifth-career ASUN Player of the Week honor.

The forward poured in 31 points and went 9-for-10 from the FT line, scoring 12 points in OT as UNF defeated FAU, 85-79.

Bond put up 23 points at Clemson and 13 points and nine rebounds in the win at Charleston. The forward moved into third in UNF's total-points chart (1,295), moving past UNF Hall of Famer and former women's basketball coach, Nancy Miller.

Bond also ranks in the UNF all-time record books: -FG made - 470 (4th) -3 PT FG made - 124 (6th) -3 PT FG % - .378 (5th) -FT made - 231 (5th) -FT % - 82.2 (3rd) -Rebounds - 656 (4th) -Def. Rebounds - 495 (3rd) -Blocks - 219 (1st) -Blocks/Game - 2.7 (1st) -MPG - 29.7 (8th)

DENIED

Jazz Bond ranks first in the ASUN and 18th nationally in blocked shots, posting 16 through eight games. She has notched a block in every game this year, including four swats at Clemson Nov. 24.

"ALLY-OOP"

Ally Knights has been one of the most efficient point guards in the nation, posting 48 helpers to lead the league and put her at fourth in the country. She's just five behind the nation's leader, LaTora Duff, of New Mexico.

SEASONED VETS

The Ospreys' 13-player roster combines to come into the season with 609 total games of experience at the Division I level returning this year.

FOR THE RECORD

>> UNF set the DI-era single-game steals record during a 92-40 win against Warner, while Summah Evans finished one steal short of the UNF DI-era single-game record for steals with seven. The Ospreys also tied a UNF DI-era mark for assists in a game with 25.

>> UNF is in the middle of its longest road stint of the season. The Ospreys played at Clemson Wednesday and will follow up Saturday's game at Georgia Dec. 8. The Ospreys have five games in December, with three on the road.

>> UNF did a lot of editing of the North Florida women's basketball record book in a 126-31 win against Trinity Baptist Saturday, Nov. 13. The Ospreys set a program record for points, breaking the previous mark (110 vs. Warner Nov. 9, 2019). Ally Knights became the first player in NCAA Division I Women's Basketball to reach 20 assists since 2002, breaking the UNF program record. Rhetta Moore poured in 37 points to set the UNF record, while also breaking the field goals made record with 15. North Florida also broke a single-game field goal percentage against TBC at 68.4.

As a team, UNF dished out 43 assists, 10 more than the previous UNF record and just two assists short of the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball record. Of UNF's 50 FGs, 43 were assisted on.

FEAR THE SEABIRD OF PREY

We are the Ospreys - which is Os-PRAYS - not Os-PREES, as in the candy.

ALL THAT JAZZ 'N MOORE

Rhetta Moore and Jazz Bond have scored in double-figures in all eight games this year. Bond and Moore are scoring over 18 points per game and rank in the top 10 in the nation in field goals made.
