- After only recording one shot in the first half, UNF put together six shots in the second half against USC Upstate.

- Nick Kishchenko, Jaylen Yearwood, Ethan Ash and Chema Preciado joined Steigelman was the only players to stay on the pitch for all 90 minutes.

- Felix Frenz, Luc Granitur and Kishchenko made their Osprey debuts as starters, while Rentaro Miyakawa and Aiden Jokomba earned their first minutes with UNF as substitutions.

- Burka and Joaquin Acuna were handed cautions during Thursday’s match against the Spartans.

- Will look to win their home opener inside Hodges Stadium for the fourth time in five seasons.

2. SCOUTING THE OPPONENT

College of Charleston opened their season with a pair of exhibitions against West Virginia and Presbyterian, followed with a season-opening draw on the road against Stetson. The Cougars were up two goals through the first half, but a red card opened the door for Stetson to come back and forced the tie.

The Ospreys played Charleston last season in a 0-0 draw on the road. This match will be the first of three straight home games for UNF, while being the back half of a pair of road games for the Cougars to open the year.

Last season, College of Charleston was 5-7-5 overall, but was winless on the road with seven losses and a draw in true away matches. Likewise, the Ospreys went 2-3-1 at home out of their 4-8-4 overall record.

The notable players to watch for the Cougars will be Chris Elliott and Leonardo D’Ambrosio, who recently received Preseason All-CAA honors. Elliott was the CAA’s Rookie of the Year in 2022, while D’Ambrosio was All-CAA Second Team.

3. SERIES HISTORY

- UNF is 1-3-1 all-time against College of Charleston with an 0-1 record against them at home.

- The Ospreys played Charleston last season for the first time since 2018 and left with a scoreless draw on the road.

- The lone win against the Cougars for UNF was early in the 2018 season with a 2-1 road victory.

- They have not lost a game to Charleston since 2017 in a 2-1 loss at home.
