2. SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
College of Charleston opened their season with a pair of exhibitions against West Virginia and Presbyterian, followed with a season-opening draw on the road against Stetson. The Cougars were up two goals through the first half, but a red card opened the door for Stetson to come back and forced the tie.
The Ospreys played Charleston last season in a 0-0 draw on the road. This match will be the first of three straight home games for UNF, while being the back half of a pair of road games for the Cougars to open the year.
Last season, College of Charleston was 5-7-5 overall, but was winless on the road with seven losses and a draw in true away matches. Likewise, the Ospreys went 2-3-1 at home out of their 4-8-4 overall record.
The notable players to watch for the Cougars will be Chris Elliott and Leonardo D’Ambrosio, who recently received Preseason All-CAA honors. Elliott was the CAA’s Rookie of the Year in 2022, while D’Ambrosio was All-CAA Second Team.
3. SERIES HISTORY
