1. WHAT TO KNOW

- The Ospreys look to win or draw, as well as score at least one goal, in six straight games for the first time since the end of the 2016 season.

- UNF leads the conference in save percentage (0.759) and team goals against average (1.167), while being top 60 in the nation for assists (10), goals (10) and points (30).

- Joaquin Acuna became the first player since 2019 to have multiple goals and assists in a season through only six games this year.

- Acuna is also seventh in the nation for game-winning goals with two against Winthrop and Georgia Southern.

- The junior will return to play Stetson to open conference play after being unavailable against Florida Atlantic.

- Luc Granitur remains the leader in goals scored with three, while Nick Kishchenko shows his value on defense with a team-leading three assists.

- Kishchenko ranks top 20 in the nation with his three assists, while Granitur is top 50 nationally for goals scored at three as well.

- Micah Gun started his first game of the season against FAU and didn’t miss a beat with five saves this past Tuesday.

- Has eclipsed double-digit shot totals in three games, including back-to-back in their last two matches.

2. SCOUTING THE OPPONENT

Stetson has had an impressive start to its 2023 season with a 2-2-2 overall record. They have a pair of shutout wins against St. Thomas and NC State to combine for a 9-0 scoring margin in those two games.

The Hatters are set to play its third consecutive road game after a loss to Grand Canyon, 3-0, and a draw against UNLV, 1-1. They’re overall road record is 0-2-1 after playing UCF and their trip out to the West Coast.

Xavi Csato, Andres Mata and Luis Lara are all multi-goal scorers for Stetson and make up three of 10 different scorers through six games. Csato also joins Charles Ahl and Afonso Conde with multiple assists on the season as well.

Nicolo Radaelli has made all six starts as keeper for the Hatters totaling 18 saves on 48 shots faced and only eight goals allowed. He had a season-high eight saves in the 2-0 loss against UCF, while also putting up four and three saves against NC State and UNLV respectively.

3. SERIES HISTORY

- UNF is 7-12-1 all-time against Stetson with a 4-5-1 record against the Hatters at home.

- The Ospreys were 3-0-1 against Stetson until their 2-0 loss at home last season.

- First time playing Stetson at home in back-to-back seasons since 2019 and spring 2021.

- Could even conference series record (7-8-1) with a win on Saturday.

2023 University of North Florida men’s soccer game notes are meant to provide SIDs, radio crews, streaming crews and media members more in-depth information on UNF men’s soccer and its student-athletes.

NORTH FLORIDA STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS

The North Florida Strategic Communications office is located on the first floor of the UNF Arena in room 1062. Entering the arena through the front entrance, the office can be accessed by going past the main office, through two double doors and turning to the double doors to the left.

CREDENTIAL REQUESTS

The North Florida Strategic Communications Office will issue credentials to WORKING press only. All passes will be left at the security table at the main entrance to Hodges Stadium.

VISITING RADIO

All visiting radio crews MUST request credentials through their school’s sports information director. Please make arrangements well in advance so necessary arrangements can be made.

NORTH FLORIDA’S RECORD WHEN...

Only photographers shooting for accredited media outlets, opposting teams or for North Florida Strategic Communications will be allowed to shoot home events from field level. No photographers are permitted along the team benches or in the team areas.

POST-MATCH INTERVIEWS

Following a 10-minute “cooling off” period, a postmatch press conference will take place on the field. The North Florida Strategic Communications staff will poll the media prior to the end of the match to determine which players will be made available after the match. The visiting coach and players will be made available outside their locker room. Pre-game interviews are NOT allowed.

INTERVIEWS

Most practices are open to the media and public. However, there may be instances when all or parts of practice are closed. Contact the Strategic Communications Office for practice times and to set up any interviews with North Florida players and coaches.

PARKING

Parking for UNF men’s soccer matches is located in UNF Lot 18 just north of Hodges Stadium.
