DEBUT

Freshman guard Kaila Rougier became the 12th Osprey to see time this year after making her UNF and collegiate debut Nov. 30 at Auburn. Rougier scored eight points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out four assists at FIU Saturday, Dec. 4.

DOUBLE TROUBLE

Jazz Bond ranks 39th in the nation among active NCAA Division I Women's Basketball players in double-doubles with 23 for her career. She has three this year. She's scored at least 10 points in all nine games this year.

FIZZLE SIZZLE

Forward Jazz Bond averaged 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game last week en route to her sixth-career ASUN Player of the Week award. She's been named to the award twice this season.

She also moved into third place in UNF-career history for points (1,325 and field goals (481) recently.

Bond also ranks in the UNF all-time record books: -3 PT FG made - 127 (T-5th) -3 PT FG % - .381 (5th) -FT made - 236 (5th) -FT % - 82.5 (3rd) -Rebounds - 665 (4th) -Def. Rebounds - 503 (3rd) -Blocks - 227 (1st) -Blocks/Game - 2.7 (1st) -MPG - 29.8 (8th)

DENIED

Jazz Bond leads the ASUN in blocks (24) and is 10th in DI. Her 2.67 blocks/gm is also 1st in the ASUN and 13th in DI.

"ALLY-OOP"

Guard Ally Knights is 14th in the country in assists with 49. She set the UNF-single game assists record with 20 earlier this year, becoming the first NCAA Women's Basketball player to do so since 2002.

SEASONED VETS

The Ospreys' 13-player roster combines to come into the season with 609 total games of experience at the Division I level returning this year.

FOR THE RECORD

>>UNF swatted 10 shots at FIU, setting the program Division I-era single game record. The mark ties UNF's program record, previously set against Valdosta State, Dec. 4, 1994.

>> UNF set the DI-era single-game steals record during a 92-40 win against Warner, while Summah Evans finished one steal short of the UNF DI-era single-game record for steals with seven. The Ospreys also tied a UNF DI-era mark for assists in a game with 25.

>> UNF is in the middle of its longest road stint of the season. The Ospreys played at Clemson Wednesday and will follow up Saturday's game at Georgia Dec. 8. The Ospreys have five games in December, with three on the road.

>> UNF did a lot of editing of the North Florida women's basketball record book in a 126-31 win against Trinity Baptist Saturday, Nov. 13. The Ospreys set a program record for points, breaking the previous mark (110 vs. Warner Nov. 9, 2019). Ally Knights became the first player in NCAA Division I Women's Basketball to reach 20 assists since 2002, breaking the UNF program record. Rhetta Moore poured in 37 points to set the UNF record, while also breaking the field goals made record with 15. North Florida also broke a single-game field goal percentage against TBC at 68.4.

As a team, UNF dished out 43 assists, 10 more than the previous UNF record and just two assists short of the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball record. Of UNF's 50 FGs, 43 were assisted on.

FEAR THE SEABIRD OF PREY

We are the Ospreys - which is Os-PRAYS - not Os-PREES, as in the candy.

AN OSPREY WIN WOULD...

-Give UNF its second road win of the year. -Make UNF 1-1 all-time vs. Georgia. -Give the Ospreys their first-ever Power Five win.

8 BLOCKS

Jazz Bond did the remarkable and blocked 12 percent of FIU's field goal attempts Saturday at Florida International. Bond's eight blocks ties a UNF single-game record, previously set by her in 2020.

On 19 different ocassions, Bond has blocked at least five shots. She ranks fourth in all divisions of NCAA Women's Basketball in career blocks with 236. She ranks fourth among active Division I women's basketball players in that category as well.

ROADIES

UNF is in game five of five of its road trip. The last time UNF was at home was Nov. 21 when it defeated FAU in overtime at the UNF Arena. Since then UNF has gone to play at Clemson, Charleston, Auburn, FIU and now Georgia.

Jazz Bond is averaging 20.3 points, 7 rebounds and 3.8 blocks per game on the current road trip. UNF is shooting 47.2 percent from the floor and 36 percent from threepoint land during the road trip, both clips better than its opponents.

ALL THAT JAZZ 'N MOORE

Jazz Bond and Rhetta Moore have paced the Ospreys in the scoring column this year. Bond is 11th in the country in total points at 179, while Moore is 39th in the country and third in the ASUN with 150 total points. Bond is coming off a 30-point game at FIU, while Moore set the UNF-single game points record with 37 earlier this season.
