the business from an inventor’s shop to a production facility. After tough years during World War II, in 1943 the family-owned business is transformed into a joint-stock company.
CRAFTMENSHIP In 1877 the inventor Heinrich Spühl sets up his first mechanical shop. Six years later, in 1883 he patented his first machine for making furniture springs. The development for his springs continued and in 1920 his sons Julius and Emil Spühl took charge of their father’s company, successfully evolving the business
In 1962, Walter Spühl, son of Julius Spühl, and the third generation of Spuhl, took charge of the company and introduced the first fully from an inventor’s shop to a production facility. Automatic transfer machine for making complete inner springs is a success around the world. As a result, the company developed rapidly, requiring more space. A new factory with assembly hall and warehouse was built in Wittenbach, Switzerland
SPRINGS The springs used in DreamMaster mattresses are made from 2.2 mm wire high tensile carbon. The spring system is given a special heat anti-fatiguSe treatment. Springs are also given an anti-rust oil treatment as they go through the manufacturing process. Both treatments ensure the springs a long life. Clipping is a stronger way to attach springs to the mattress frames. The anti-loose & fallen method prevents springs from falling off the frame. The mattress edge is then
reinforced with high-density foam edges that increase the mattress area and maintain the mattress shape through its life.
LAYERS There are a number of layers that surround the spring system of a DreamMaster bed to ensure you a luxuriously comfortable and supportive night sleep. First, a dura-mesh fine-high strength sheet spreads downwards pressure across the spring system and prevents the collapse of other materials in the gaps between the springs. Over this is placed a cotton felt cushioning pad, super dense layer of synthetic fiber with raisin provides additional strength in weight support, and also imparts an extra sense of softness.
Then a high-density polyurethane foam pads are divided into zones that perfectly fit the body’s contours. This relieves muscle contraction as a result of daily use. A layer of Spun Bond Active Guard is an anti-mite high compressed barrier made from non-woven fabric sits on top. In addition to ventilating air it also adds to the strength of the quilting. Now an extra hollow fiberfill layer coated with Active Guard substance prevents mites from living in the mattress. It also effectively spreads the weight effectively down to the lower layers. We finish the mattress with luxurious, quilted Italian jacquard ticking. All the layers are attached to the edges of the mattress by fastening flanging material to the coils with rings.
protection against the development of bacteria and fungi on fabric. It also limits growth of dust mites. It combats odors, ensures long lasting freshness and prolongs the life of the mattress. ACARIL products are neither harmful to man nor the natural environment, and also adds to the anti-allergic aspects of the Jacquard Fabric.
TICKING Mattresses in the hospitality sector receive intense use. Customers will be eating in bed and use mattresses for long periods of time, so it gets dirty easily. To ensure ease of maintenance DreamMaster has used jacquard ticking that can be easily rinsed with ordinary detergents and easily maintained. DreamMaster uses an antimicrobial treatment called ACARIL, which gives
DreamMaster mattress passes the Flame Retardant requirement of the British standard specification for Resistance to Cigarette and Butane flame ignition of mattresses. BS 7175-0 test FINISHING Non-woven or felt material is sewn to the edges of the mattress to give it more strength and durability and support. Around the perimeter of the second edge of the mattress assures sleeping comfort to the edges plus adds edge support for sitting.
Choosing a Bed….. COMFORT Mattresses don't have to be as hard as a board to be good for you, though some people may prefer a firmer feel. DreamMaster mattresses are made with a choice of luxurious new cushioning materials and surface treatments. While these mattresses may feel more plush, the core provides necessary support for your body.
SPACE Select a mattress that gives you enough room for free, easy movement, especially if you're sleeping with a partner. Couples should select a queen or king-size mattress to ensure that both individuals have enough space to feel comfortable.
SUPPORT A quality mattress and base gently supports your body at all points and keep your spine in the same position as a good standing posture. When selecting a mattress, keep in mind that your body should be able to relax, with your spine supported in its natural curve.
DURABILITY How long support and comfort will continue? Like all products, a mattress and base gradually wear out. Eventually, you won't receive the same support and comfort as you did when the sleep set was new. That's why you should reevaluate your set regularly by turning the mattress twice a year. MATCHING SLEEP SETS Matching mattresses and base are engineered to work together. Mismatching sets, putting a new mattress on an old base, or adding a board between the mattress and base, can impede comfort and reduce the useful life of the mattress. VALUE Buy only quality products made with all new materials. Shopping for the best value – not the lowest price – is a healthy investment in your quality of life
BACK PAIN? Your back responds to changes in the environment, disease, injury, sleeping conditions, and so on. As you age, your spine changes continuously; vertebrae lose their bone mass, mobility and resilience.
Your back also reacts to physical and environmental changes, such as sleeping on a too-soft or too-hard mattress for a long time. The average bedding lasts eight to ten years, but you should probably change your mattress if back pain persists, or if you begin to experience back pain for the first time and there is no apparent injury that could have caused the pain. Your back may be weakened from sleeping on a sagging, worn-out, or too-hard mattress. Poor back support distorts the normal "S" curve of your spine. This creates back pain. It may aggravate an old injury, or possibly cause a new one. Your body and spine require the right sleeping support. Advice from sleep experts is that you should sleep in a good bed. This specifically refers the soft-top layer of the bed, not the mattress itself. Without a soft top you will lie on a firm mattress and risk an uncomfortable night sleep. If the mattress is poorly constructed or too soft you will fall into the mattress and affect the natural curve of your spine.
DreamMaster速 SLEEP TIPS While it is important to get the same 7 to 9 hours of sleep that you enjoyed when you were in your teens, the quality of those hours is equally important. Experts have presented a variety of commonsense prescriptions to help you sleep.
1. Use your brain during the day: balance a checkbook, do crossword puzzles, paint, read the newspaper. 2. Stay active-continue to do the things you enjoy, especially physical activities, such as golf. 3. Go outside-sunlight elevates your mood and the Vitamin E in your skin, making you healthier and happier when you do fall asleep. 4. Don't isolate yourself. The lonelier you are, the more likely you are to have trouble sleeping. 5. If you smoke, remember that tobacco is a stimulant. Consider cutting down, or quitting altogether.
6. Try not to drink alcohol before bedtime. 7. Limit your caffeine intake-remember that tea, sodas and chocolate can all keep you awake. 8. Check your prescription medications for side effects such as hyper-alertness, insomnia and anxiety. 9. Talk to your doctor about ways that you can keep any medical conditions from disturbing your sleep. 10. Consider taking up meditation or relaxation techniques. Your local community or senior center probably offers meditation and yoga classes. 11. Limit naps during the day-no more than 30 minutes. But if you feel drowsy and absolutely can't stay awake, then listen to your body. 12. Establish a regular routine-have preset times for going to bed and getting up. 13. Check your bedroom for any potential problems. An old and infirm mattress, a lack of good air conditioning or heating, a TV in the bedroom may all be contributing to your sleeplessness. 14. Double-check your mattress. If you bought it when you were first married 50 years ago, hang on to the memories, not the mattress. 15. Make sure your partner doesn't have sleep problems such as snoring, sleep apnea, or other conditions that could keep you awake. Talk over sleep problems with your partner. Once you have a regular sleep pattern that works for you, you can put your sleep worries to rest. And you may even have more energy than your grandchildren.
