Last year, if you would have heard the name Lady Gaga, you would have been clueless as to who she was. It was only after her latest album, The Fame Monster, that she has gained a spot with other major pop superstars. In fact, many people consider her to be the next "Madonna", because of her unique style. The Fame Monster has brought fame to Lady Gaga because of its incredible beat and lyrics. Lady Gaga today has many fans, not only in the United States, but across the whole world. The Fame Monster centers on fear, from love to loneliness and death. The album starts with the song Bad Romance. Many fans have argued that this is Lady Gaga's best song they have ever listened to. Bad Romance has a lot of crescendos, so it is best played at full volume in cars or clubs, and it is one of the most songs played in radios today. The next song that comes is Alejandro. This is a mid-tempo, tropical song that can be very addicting. Alejandro has a nice punch of reworked vocals at the beginning, and it has a dramatic ending. The next song is called Don't Call Me Gaga. This one is a bit violent; in the video, someone kills Lady Gaga and eats her heart, then her brain! It is pretty much the essence of the "monster" in the album. The rest of the songs; Speechless, Dance in the Dark, Telephone, So Happy I Could Die, and Teeth have all been major hits that changed the world of Pop music. The song Telephone was a duet including Lady Gaga and the famous R & B singer Beyonce, which drove fans of both these divas wild. Along with a beat very similar to Timbaland's "The Way I Are" and a frantic, stuttering electro-bass line, "Telephone" is a mixture of synchs, phone sounds and above all, rampant telephone talk. It's a true Gaga masterpiece! The Fame Monster was actually a re-release of Lady Gaga's old album, The Fame. Much criticism was made about the shortness of this album because it only had eight tracks. Nevertheless, most of the people that have heard the songs of this album have liked and loved it, and now the Fame Monster is hitting the charts slinking its way up to the top stop, where it will stay.
