WHAT IS UNILEVER FUTURE LEADERS’ LEAGUE? Unilever Future Leaders' League (FLL) is a global business competition that brings students together to experience leadership and business. First introduced in Indonesia in 2013, FLL is a unique business competition that offers students a great chance to solve real business challenges while leading sustainable business growth and enhancing their capability for future career. The local round in Indonesia will select top 3 individuals to represent the country in the Global Round of Unilever Future Leaders’ League in London, UK Indonesian teams have given outstanding performance in the Global Future Leaders’ League. Our representative from FLL Indonesia 2013 has become the winner of Global FLL over 21 other countries around the world, while our representative from 2014 successfully reached the top 10 among 30 competing countries. With ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) just around the corner, this is the best time for industry to collaborate with universities to boost and develop Indonesian global leaders.

PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY Participation in FLL Indonesia is in Individual basis. Each participant should possess the following features: • Indonesian undergraduate students (bachelor degree), minimum in 2nd year of study. • Strong business mindset • Challenge-takers • Active in extracurricular activities

Unilever Indonesia reserves the right to reject any applicant who fail to comply with the requirements listed above.

Top 30 must attend a residential phase (U-Camp) in Unilever’s premises. • Top 30 will be divided into 10 groups of 3 people • Daily case studies • Business & leadership coaching

OVERVIEW To enter the competition, you are required to answer 1 chosen question (from the 5 options available).

The 5 options of question are based on Unilever business functions: Marketing, Customer Development, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources.

We require you to answer based on your function of interest. The function of interest does NOT have to be the same with your field of study. The submission is on individual bases. The context of the case is based on Rexona, Unilever’s leading deodorant brand.

Rexona entered Indonesia in year 1977 and was first seen as a “medicine” for underarms problems, hence being used only by those who suffer and was kept as a secret. Rexona went from the image of a “brand that I need”, into the image of “a brand that I want” which made Rexona becomes a bold, daring, and dynamic brand starting 2012. Rexona has been developing the deodorant market in Indonesia through many innovations. It started with market development for women and teens through the famous “burket” campaign. A year after, Rexona entered the male segment by launched Rexona for Men. In 2007 we also launch the Rexona Deo Lotion to cater the need of low income consumer in Indonesia. Several years before, Rexona started to make the brand becomes more aspirational through the new brand communication idea: “Do More”. With this campaign we were enabling people to live a more physically active, socially connected & emotionally engage life by awakening the doer in all of us. In 2015, Rexona is doing its biggest re-launch of all variant with Introducing the New MotionSenseTM Technology. This technology will strengthen Rexona’s brand superiority as the number 1 deodorant brand in the world. Deodorant market in Indonesia is still growing rapidly and Rexona, as the market leader, always doing continuous innovation by providing some format applicator such as Roll On, Stick, Lotion and Spray, as well as answer consumer specific needs such as Anti Stain and Whitening Deodorant as a new market.

Considering the ever growing business of Rexona, what will you – as HR Manager – do to ensure all the people involved has the right capability to deliver the business ambition?

HOW TO REGISTER? The online registration form will consist of 4 parts: 1) Your personal information 2) Answer to the question of your choice (essay not more than 500 words) 3) 1-page presentation in PDF format to visualize your answers (max. 1 MB) 4) 1-page presentation in PDF format of your Creative CV (max. 1MB) To enter the competition, register and submit your answers online at:

Creative CV: Put your CV in a 1-page presentation slide in any ways you want that will convey your personality. Compulsory information to be included are: Self portrait, latest GPA, leadership experiences, academic & non-academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and any interesting facts about you that distinguish you from others. Registration is open from: 22nd September until 19th October 2015, 11:59 PM GMT +7.

One applicant is only allowed to submit 1 registration.

JUDGING CRITERIA Unilever Future

Leaders’ League 2015

Your submission will be judged based on the following criteria:

• Ability to spot the issues & frame it into business context (30%) • Analytical and structured thinking (30%) • Out of the box yet executable approach to the issues (20%) • Creative CV (20%)

No appeals will be considered against the decisions of Unilever Indonesia Judging Panel and Unilever Indonesia Judging Panel has no obligation to explain their decision making process.

• 5-day residential workshop in U-Camp – all expenses covered - with intensive training and coaching on business and leadership skills by Unilever Indonesia’s leaders Best Team & Top 3 individuals: • 6 months supply of Unilever’s product package • Internship opportunity in Unilever Indonesia or fast track to assessment center of Unilever Future Leaders Programme for final year students.

Top 3 individuals: Represent Indonesia at Global Round of Future Leaders’ League in London, UK (all expenses covered), with intensive coaching & training in the preparation.
