Medicine & Health Sciences
Our School of Medicine and Health Sciences are hubs for professional training based at both Buckingham and Crewe.
Building on from Buckingham’s ethos of putting the students first, we are small enough for our students to be part of a coherent and supportive community, and large enough to provide all the experience you need to progress your medical career.
Designed to deliver core and speciality training, our postgraduate medical degrees are comprehensive one- or two-year training courses. Assessed through workplace based assessments and a dissertation, our Master of Medicine and Master of Surgery will give you the skills and knowledge you need to advance your medical profession. The parttime Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education is designed for healthcare professionals involved in medical education and training.

And our newest programme, MSc Practitioner in Psychological Trauma**, has been developed in partnership with the Centre of Developmental and Complex Trauma, St Andrew’s Healthcare and listed for accreditation by the British sychological Society (BPS) to provide expert understanding and professional competencies in psychological trauma informed care.
The MSurg and MMed are suitable for overseas students only and are conducted entirely at our placement hospitals.
