Welcome to our beautiful waterfront campus. Whether you are local, or you’ve travelled far to get here, we're sure you’ll agree it’s a great place to study, and this Open Day is your chance to find out more.

There will be music, food vendors and seating outside the Waterfront Building; take time out of your day to enjoy the atmosphere.

We want you to get the most out of the day, so take the time to hear about the courses you are most interested in, meet the lecturers, ask lots of questions, and explore everything on offer here.

WHAT'S ON

We’ve outlined a few things you can do during the Open Day. Make the most of meeting the course teams, join a campus tour, view the accommodation and have a chat with the support services.

10.00am | Registration

Please register from 10.00am onwards to let us know you have arrived, grab a free drink, and get ready for the day.

10.30am | Welcome Talk

This talk is your chance to learn more about the University of Suffolk, our achievements and what it means to be a student here.

From 11.15am | Course Talks

Find out more about courses that interest you and meet the course lecturers. Talks for Health courses are staggered throughout the day. Scan the QR code on page 2 to see the detailed programme.

1.15pm | Accommodation Talk

Waterfront Building

Find out more about our accommodation options and ask any questions you might have.

12.30–2.00pm | Academic Drop-ins

This is your opportunity to speak directly to an academic about a course that interests you. Further details on page 8

1.15pm | Careers and Placement Option

Waterfront Building

This talk will give you an insight into what career and placement options there are.

1.45pm | Financing Your Studies

Waterfront Building

Find out more about student finance and what funding options there are.

2.15pm | Student Life and Experience Talk

Students' Union (SU) Social Space

Hear what it’s like to be a student at Suffolk and what the Students’ Union have to offer.

Tours

Tours run between 10.00am and 3.00pm. No need to book!

Explore Ipswich Campus

Tours depart from the Waterfront Building.

Accommodation Tour

View our on-campus, en-suite accommodation. Tours depart from the ground floor of Athena Hall.

Professional Health Facilities Tour

Visit our specialist Professional Health course facilities. Tours depart from the SU Social Space in the Library Building.

FREE TEA AND COFFEE

available on campus and there are places to grab lunch along the waterfront.

12.45pm | DigiTech Centre

Computing

Tour

Tours of the DigiTech Centre at BT’s Adastral Park are for prospective students attending the Open Day registered for Computing. Please note that parents/friends can only join the tour if their names were provided when booking the Open Day. The coach departs promptly from the University Car Park lay-by (see map on page 6). The tour and coach ride take approximately two hours.

The campus is on the Ipswich Waterfront and a 10 minute walk from the town centre.
