FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS AND CELEBRATION - The Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with Mon Valley Academy for the Arts for the annual Monongahela 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks display at the Monongahela Aquatorium. Gates open at 4pm with food trucks, vendors, games, and live music. Deep cuts classic rock cover band, Sky Pilot, will play first, followed by Frank Podroskey’s Pittsburgh Big Band Legends. Fireworks will start around approximately 9:30pm. Rain date July 5th. Community members are encouraged to donate to the MACC Fireworks Fund. Donations can be made at the Chamber office or online at tinyurl.com/MACC-FireworksFund.

Whiskey Rebellion Festival
- The 12th Annual Whiskey Rebellion Festival will be held Friday July 7 and Saturday July 8. Washington County’s largest festival offers something for everyone while honoring the history of the Whiskey Rebellion of 1791-1794. Friday evening kicks off the festivities with a Whiskey & Spirits Walk. Be a Rebel and join the walk from 6-9pm. ($50 per person; must be 21 or over). A dozen distilleries will be participating. If you like something you sample, you can purchase a bottle. Friday night continues with a performance by the Washington Symphony Orchestra at the Main Street Pavilion. If you are hungry or thirsty, the Blue Eagle Tavern and the food trucks will be open. Saturday, July 8 kicks off with a community parade down Main Street. Free festival activities include history museum tours, local history group displays, historic street theater performances, demonstrators, reenactors, the Lil’ Rebels Area, mercantile, all-day music, a wide variety of food trucks and Blue Eagle Tavern Libations. CLOTHES 4 U MINISTRY - The Clothes 4 U ministry of the Belle Vernon First United Methodist Church, 200 State Street will be open to the public on Tuesdays, July 11 and 25 from 9:00a.m. to 12 noon. We are in need of children's clothing at this time, but all clean gently used clothing is appreciated. We are strictly donations in and donations out. We do not charge for our clothing. Thank you for helping us help the people of the Mon Valley.

SOUTH HILLS COIN CLUB - The monthly meeting of the South Hills Coin Club will be held Tuesday evening July 11, at 7:30 PM at the Bethel Park Municipal Building located at 5100 West Library Avenue Ave. in Bethel Park. All members and the general public are invited. This months program will be the annual summer pizza party! A 50/50 will be offered and childrens prizes to be awarded. FIVE STAR TRAIL POKER RUNSaturday, July 15, 2023 starting at Lynch Field in Greensburg. Registration begins at 8:00am and the event will start at 9:00am. The registration fee is $25 for pre-registered participants; day-of registration is
$30. Participants can choose a fourmile walk or a twelve-mile bike ride; or adjust the distance according to your needs. Participants will choose a playing card from a deck of cards at each of five checkpoints along the trail. Upon finishing the event, each participant will have assembled a full poker hand. The top three poker hands will receive a trophy and a special prize package. The Poker Run also features a door prize giveaway after the event, light refreshments, a 50/50 drawing, and a historic Poker Run t-shirt display. There will also be fun activities the whole family can enjoy! PUPS ON THE PATIO - The Mon Valley Paws will sponsor "pups on the patio" at the Tap Factory located at 164 Coyle Curtin Rd. in Monongahela, Pa, on Saturday July 15, 2023, The event is from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Leashed and well behaved pets are welcome. MVP will be selling baskets, collecting food and supplies. There will be adaptable pets at this event. For more information call 724-493-8305.

Car Cruise
- Downtown West Newton, Inc. (DWNI) will be holding their 16th Annual ‘Roctoberfest’ Car Cruise on Sunday July 16, 2023 (Rain Date July 23). This fun event will take place at the West Newton Lions Field located at 511 Pittsburgh St. in West Newton. Vehicle registration begins at 11:00am with a $10 entrance fee for each vehicle. On display will be classic cars, trucks Model T's, hot rods, rat rods, late model cars and trucks, motorcycles as well as a Kids class with trophies awarded in all classes.
There will be a 50/50, gift basket raffle, lottery tree raffle, homemade food and much more. DJ Glen Reymer will be playing hits from the 50's 60's and 70's. DWNI is a 501c3 organization and all donations are tax deductible. Any questions, call 724-872-0100.

ACAPELLA HARMONY PERFORMANCE - North Belle Vernon’s Community Bank Park, Thursday, July 20 at 6:30PM the Belle Vernon Public Library will host ‘3Rivers4’, an acapella harmony group which performs in the “Barbershop style.” The group presents a wide variety of songs ranging from doo-wop from the ‘50s and 60’s to inspirational and patriotic songs. SUMMERFEST – Sponsored by Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish. Friday, July 21, 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm, and Saturday, July 22, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm, with outdoor mass at 4 pm. Summerfest will resume from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm after outdoor mass concludes. The festival will be held at Parish Park, 225 Park Ave., Monongahela (Behind Dierken’s Pharmacy). Enjoy live entertainment (both Friday and Saturday); people can grab a bite to eat at the SummerFest Kitchen, the Outdoor Food Booths, and Bakery. ‘TIMELESS TREASURES’ FLEA MARKET - The Labouré Ladies Guild of St. Catherine Labouré Parish will hold its annual flea market “Timeless Treasures” from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21 and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22 in the LeGras Parish Center (lower level), 320 McMurray Road, Upper St. Clair. Sale items will include jewelry, gently used children’s clothing to size 6, toys, decorative items, knick knacks, kitchen items, holiday decorations, linens, tools, books, some furniture and much more. There will also be a boutique offering better quality items. Due to fire restrictions, strollers are not permitted inside LeGras Parish Center.

Saturday, July 22 hours 10AM – 6PM, and Sunday, July 23 hours 10AM - 4PM. Come and browse, shop and meet with national and local dealers of rocks and minerals, jewelry and fossils.
