"WildLife Works" - Wildlife Rehabilitation -Wildlife Works will be bringing wildlife orphaned animals that you will see up close and learn about their habitat.

‘Christmas in July’ Craft Show in Rostraver Twp. On July 29

The First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon, located at 501 Fayette Ave. Rostraver Township, will hold their 2nd annual ‘Christmas in July’ Craft and Vendor Show on Saturday July 29, from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. There will be a wide variety of items not just Christmas related. Vendor spots are still available. Food will be available from our kitchen. For more information call 724-929-7616.

Pleasant Hills Community Day On August 12

The 2023 Pleasant Hills Community Day will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Mowry Park, 400 Mowry Drive. There will be a parade starting at 11:00AM, followed by music, stage acts, games, inflatables, activities, new merch vendors, food booths, bands & of course fireworks at 9:45. Mon Valley Coin Club to Discuss Changes in Irish Coinage

The monthly meeting of the Mon Valley Coin Club will take place at 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 20 at VFW Post 1409, 793 E. Main St., Monongahela. All members and the public are invited to attend.

Discussion will be held on changes in Irish Coinage. A 50/50 will be offered and children's prizes will be awarded. Applications for membership are also being accepted. For Additional information, call 724503-8455 or 724-972-8464.

For Mon Valley ‘National Night Out’ and Rostraver Township 250th Anniversary Set for August 1

Wednesday, August 1, 2023 will be a funfilled evening in Rostraver Township you won’t want to miss. All are invited to participate, by visiting the John DiVirgilio Sports Complex off Recreation Drive for two exciting events that evening.

The Mon Valley ‘National Night Out’ will take place from 6:00pm –9:00pm. This event will focus on children coming to meet our local Police Officers, Firefighter, and EMTs from all over the Mon Valley. In addition, local businesses and organizations will be present to share information about our Mon Valley Community. During the event there will be raffle baskets, kids prizes and activities, and a 50/50 raffle.

Then, at 9:00pm there will be fireworks, sponsored by Vinoski Winery, to close the Mon Valley National Night Out and kickoff the 250th anniversary celebration. From 9:00pm – 11:00pm, the festivities will focus more on adults with a live band to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Rostraver Township.

Live! Casino To Host Second Annual Car Cruise On Aug. 6 Register Your Vehicle Early Online To Secure Your Spot

Get ready to rev those engines when Live! Casino Pittsburgh hosts its second annual Live! Casino Car Cruise on Sunday, Aug. 6, from noon to 5 p.m. in the casino parking lot. Available spots to participate in the cruise are going fast, and anyone interested in showcasing their vehicle is encouraged to register online now.

“We’re revving up the nostalgia as we gear up for our second annual Live! Casino Car Cruise,” said Bryan Prettyman, vice president of slots and marketing at Live! Casino Pittsburgh. “The cruise will be an exciting, funfilled time when we can celebrate the craftsmanship and timeless beauty of these vintage and classic automobiles.”

Last year’s event featured live music, food trucks and a beer garden, among other activities. Registrations spots in this year’s Live! Casino Car Cruise are anticipated to sell out, and interested participants are encouraged to register before all the spots are taken. Registration is open to cars, trucks and motorcycles and is just $10 to enter. Participants have a chance to win the People's Choice and Steelers' Choice awards, and every registered entrant will receive a dash plaque and t-shirt upon entry. Additionally, each registered entrant will receive $10 in Free Play to be used at Live! Casino Pittsburgh. The event is free for spectators and open to the general public to attend.

Belle Vernon FUMC to Hold Vacation Bible School in July
