Mon Valley Paws will be sponsoring a basket auction and 50/50 event at the River House Cafe located on 506 McKean Ave in Charleroi, on Wednesday May 24, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Bring a pet food donation and be entered to win a basket! For a takeout call 724-565-5700. We will also be sponsoring an Italian hoagie sale on Saturday May 20, at 10:00 AM until sold out. Cost is $8 each. The event will be held at the intersection of Grand Blvd. and Monessen Blvd. in Monessen. For more information on these events, call 724-493-8305. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO DELIVER MEALS IN DONORA AND CARROLL TOWNSHIP

Do You Have A Few Hours A Week to Spare For A Worthwhile Cause?

Donora Senior Center is in desperate need of volunteers for their home delivered meals program for the Donora and Carroll township areas. (This program is also referred to “meals on wheels.”) The 3 routes take a little over an hour. You can volunteer once a week, once every other week, once a month. Mileage reimbursement is available for volunteers that drive. Drivers and runners are needed Mondays through Fridays. SAVE THE DATE! Memorial Blood Drive for Fallen Officer in Jefferson Hills Set for June 11

Please join us on Sunday, June 11, for the 3rd Annual Officer Dale T. Provins Jr., Memorial Blood Drive. The drive will be held from 10:00AM – 4:00PM at the Jefferson Hills Municipal Complex (925 Old Clairton Blvd). There will be 50/50, Chinese Auction, and a bake sale with proceeds going towards the Dale T. Provins Memorial Scholarship at Penn West University (formerly California University of Pennsylvania.) Food trucks will also be on site selling delicious food. Purchase food and drinks from Liquid Vibes Coffee, The Lunch Lady on Wheels, and Hibachi Lou! Even if you aren’t able to donate blood, please come out to show your support!
