JMA anatomy students visit ‘The Bodies Exhibit’

The senior anatomy class at John Milledge Academy went on a field trip to ‘The Bodies Exhibit’ and ‘Dialog in the Dark’ in Atlanta. It was an extremely enjoyable adventure for the class, as they learned about each body system as well as the cycle of life. Real human bodies that have been specially preserved are on display showing this information. In Dialog in the Dark, the students experienced what it was like to be totally blind. They were given white canes to help guide them as they traveled through different rooms representing places such as a grocery store, a marina and crossing a busy street. Each guide for the experience is a legally blind volunteer. The students enjoyed the experience and would like to encourage everybody to go to Atlantic Station in Atlanta and visit the exhibits. Pictured top from left are: Amanda Dixon, Luke Ezell, Shelby Roberts, Haley Budrys, Greg Carroll and Jess Carroll. Bottom row from left are: Chelsey Bloodworth, Traci Grant (teacher), Stacey Couey, Brooke Underwood and Lynsey Carroll.
