GMC students design dart boards for math lessson
Students in Maj. Stephanie Williams sixth grade Accelerated Math class recently completed a probability project where the students designed a dart board that had four regions worth different point levels. Each of the regions represented a different percentage of the total area of the board. Upon completion, students had to present their boards to the class and explain how they found the probability of each region. Many students came up with challenging shapes and designs, and no two boards were alike! These students worked very hard and showed their ability to solve this challenging problem.
