Annual General Meeting 2018 We are pleased to invite you to our AGM which will take place on Thursday 22nd February 2018 in Room 11, Town Hall, Church Street, Barnsley. There will be two aggregated meetings; one at lunchtime 12.15pm (buffet lunch provided) and one after work at 5.15pm (tea and coffee provided). Parking is readily available at County Way: for public transport users, the transport interchange is only a few minutes walk away. Each attendee will receive a ÂŁ5 Love to Shop Voucher and a promotional gift. Our union is a democratic organisation that is member lead and the AGM is important in ensuring that the union is and remains accountable to its members. We need 50 members in total to attend for a quorum to elect our officers and approve our accounts so that we can continue to provide a service to you in the coming year. Please support us by attending the meeting if you possibly can and encourage your colleagues to do likewise. We are pleased to announce that James Kowacz of Crisis Skylight South Yorkshire will be attending the meeting to review the successful sponsorship and joint working between the branch and Crisis during the past twelve months. A representative of Thompson's Solicitors will also be attending the meeting to provide an overview of the legal services available to UNISON members. We hope the AGM will be an interesting and enjoyable get-together. It will be an opportunity to find out more about what the branch has been doing over the last year and to make plans for the coming year. I look forward to seeing you on 22nd February.
Best Wishes Ben Harvey Branch Secretary
