Day 4 Cairo-Luxor (B) This morning, fly
south to Luxor where we cross the Nile to explore the New Kingdom city of “Thebes” and the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens. Later this afternoon our exploration takes us to the Temple of Luxor, built under Amenophis III and Ramses II, primarily to celebrate the Festival of Opet. Day 7 Arrive Nairobi (D) Jambo and welcome to Kenya! A bit of leisure time gives you a chance for a quick nap and shower before we travel to the suburb of Karen this afternoon. Visit the former home of writer Karen von Blixen (Out of Africa) where you can walk through the original house and stroll the grounds set at the foot of the Ngong Hills. Then, a fun experience awaits at the Giraffe Center where you have an opportunity to feed the Rothschild giraffes. Return to your hotel late this afternoon for an evening at leisure. Day 5 Luxor-Abu Simbel-Cairo (B)
A short early morning flight takes you to Abu Simbel to marvel at the temples and colassal statues of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari.
