We are proud to announce that we are bringing on Goodwood brewing from Kentucky. Everything they make is touched by wood and limestone giving the beer a very unique flavor. What’s that bite of tartness doing in a pumpkin beer? Adding the unexpected kick of cranberries to brighten this traditionally spiced seasonal ale. A glowing orange and carrying a slight haze, Pumpkick is brewed up with plenty of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice, but it’s that healthy dose of cranberries that will have you sipping for more. The aroma is full of spicy pumpkin, with a hint of cranberry and even lemongrass – another unexpected but delicious addition to the brew. The caramel and toffee maltiness of our Piper Down Scottish ale is the perfect backdrop for a boatload of roasted pumpkin. PIPER DOWN SCOTTISH ALE A Scottish ale with San Diego spirit. Our Piper Down Scottish Ale hits all the right notes for the Ballast Point Bagpipe Corps that inspired it. We created this very low hopped, malty ale for the band to enjoy using UK Maris Otter malt, roasted barley, UK hops and low fermentation temperatures. Then we let the brew’s sweet complexity build over a three-hour boil. Full of roasted caramel flavor, it’s a pub classic with Ballast Point personality.
