BALLAST POINT RED VELVET

RED VELVET ON NITRO GOLDEN OATMEAL STOUT WITH BEETS & CHOCOLATE Our Red Velvet oatmeal stout is a mindbending beer. Like the cake that inspired it, the deep red color comes from beets, which add a rich, earthy character that complements the chocolate flavor and aroma. The foamy head of the nitro pour is our “icing,” adding a creamy smoothness to the mouthfeel. But this liquid dessert still finishes like a beer – not sweet, but just as satisfying.

BALLAST POINT MANTA RAY

MANTA RAY DOUBLE IPA We’ve developed many IPA recipes in our R&D program, but right from the tank, our Manta Ray Double IPA was a winner. why we brew it

why you should drink it

In 1997, DuClaw Brewing Company Brewmaster, Jim Wagner, decided on a lark to age our award winning Barleywine, Devil’s Milk, in a Bourbon barrel. The resulting beer was so tasty and unique that in 2012 the barrel-aged version was re-christened “Hell On Wood” and put into full production.

DuClaw Brewing Company opened its first restaurant and brewery in 1996 in Bel Air, Maryland. Countless brewing awards later, brewing operations moved to an expanded facility in Baltimore, Maryland to keep up with the growing demand for barrels of DuClaw Brewing Company’s ever growing line-up of specialty brews.

Hell On Wood is medium/full-bodied and amber in color with a thin, persistent, off-white head, mesmerizing hop flavors and aromas (which vary each year with the beer’s hop bill) accented by notes of charred oak, vanilla, and caramelized sugar; and a warming 13.1% ABV. Fall to the seductive power of Hell On Wood!

craft be cherished. rules be damned.

Spring got sprung with this funky monkey. We dropped a big stash of Lemondrop hops into both the kettle and the dry hop – delivering a big citrus blast – and topped it off with a Lemongrass addition for a refreshing twist. Light in body with bright citrus notes, this is an extremely complex but very easy drinking brew. Flowing February through April GREAT LAKES CHILLWAVE

why we brew it

why you should drink it

Since 2011, GABF medal winning Sweet Baby Jesus! Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter has been the yardstick by which all other peanut butter beers are measured. But DuClaw Brewing Company Brewmaster, Jim Wagner, couldn’t stop there…

For Pete’s Sake! Imperial Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter raises the bar again with its silky, full body, big roasted malt flavor and aroma dominated by rich notes of peanut butter and chocolate, subtle fruit and coffee notes, and a strong, warming 9% ABV. For Pete’s Sake! - it’s a whole new level of Chocolate Peanut Porter!
