OAK-AGED INDIA PALE ALE
BEER DESCRIPTION A truly unique India Pale Ale, this iteration of our Jai Alai IPA boasts the addition of white oak spirals to impart sleek notes of vanilla, coconut and a touch of dill to Jai Alai's bold citrus and caramel character. The oak also serves to temper the bitterness in the 70 IBU base beer while oak tannins elegantly dry the beer's body to create a unique drinking experience that still remains true to Jai Alai's unique qualities.

TASTING NOTES Vanilla, coconut, tangerine and a hint of dill all vie for attention on the nose of this unique oak-aged IPA. Jai Alai's familiar caramel malt character and clementine-like hop flavors are both complimented by drying, oaky tannins and a pronounced vanillin quality with each sip.

CITRA PALE ALE
BEER DESCRIPTION Traditional throughout Latin America, the guayabera shirt combines style, functionality, form and tradition in it's four-pocketed design. We at Cigar City feel the same reverence and appreciation for the guayabera that we do for the Citra hop varietal, an ingredient that imparts notes of tangerine, lime and berries to this traditional American Pale Ale. The exclusive use of Citra hops in this beer creates a flavor that's at once unique and recognizable, while it's dry, crisp character and moderate alcohol make it as refreshing and functional as a crisp linen guayabera.

why we brew it
why you should drink it
In 1997, DuClaw Brewing Company Brewmaster, Jim Wagner, decided on a lark to age our award winning Barleywine, Devil’s Milk, in a Bourbon barrel. The resulting beer was so good that in 2012 the barrel-aged version was re-christened “Hell On Wood” and put into full production.
DuClaw Brewing Company opened its first restaurant and brewery in 1996 in Bel Air, Maryland. Countless brewing awards later, brewing operations moved to an expanded facility in Baltimore, Maryland to keep up with the growing demand for barrels of DuClaw Brewing Company’s ever growing line-up of specialty brews.
Hell On Wood is medium/full-bodied and amber in color with a thin, persistent, off-white head, mesmerizing hop flavors and aromas (which vary each year with the beer’s hop bill) accented by notes of charred oak, vanilla, and caramelized sugar; and a warming 10.5% ABV. Fall to the seductive power of Hell On Wood!

BOULEVARD HIBISCUS GOSE
CORE PLUS SEASONAL
HIBISCUS GOSE S T Y L E Gose AVA I L A B I L I T Y
April – August, Bottles and Draught
Hibiscus Gose is our version of an unusual, yet resurgent, beer style. It pays tribute to the pleasantly sour, slightly salty wheat beers that originated in Goslar and became popular in Leipzig, Germany around the late 1800’s. A great introductory sour beer, Hibiscus Gose receives coriander and sea salt during boiling, then we steep dried hibiscus flowers during whirlpooling to create a vibrant pink hue (really, though, it’s pink!). The result is a tangy, sweet and sour ale with a refreshing citrus character.
