2012 Staff &
Volunteer Leaders As we complete the first year of our 2012-2014 Strategic Plan, I’m struck by the bold goals United Way has for Asheville and Buncombe County. Our plan gives us the focus to achieve measurable results in Education, Income and Health - the building blocks of a good life. Positive change comes not only when people have a way to come together to Give, but also to Advocate and Volunteer, as well as connect to needed resources. This annual report celebrates the collective work of United Way’s partners, volunteers and staff in giving people a way to make their community a better place where everyone has opportunities to be successful. Thank you for inspiring hope for a better tomorrow! Tracy Buchanan Board of Directors Chair, 2011 and 2012
