Ladies and gentlemen, As we all aware, the state of Johor recently experienced a most unfortunate incident resulting from the irresponsible action of individuals who have polluted the Kim Kim River in Pasir Gudang.

As a consequence, a huge community of Pasir Gudang was badly affected including school children and the general public. The air and water pollution in Pasir Gudang is a serious issue that needs to be addressed and resolved immediately. In fact I was informed that other rivers in this state are facing the same fate. www.utm.my
PRESERVE THE CLEANLINESS OF OUR RIVERS
His Majesty Tuanku Sultan of Johor and I are concerned of the welfare and well being of the people of Johor. As such, it is my hope that we can preserve the cleanliness of our rivers which are the source of water for drinking and everyday use apart from becoming the habitat for plants and animals. www.utm.my
