The culmination of the hard work and perseverance of nearly 125 senior design students was on full display at the Tagliatela College of Engineering’s Spring 2018 Senior Design Expo.

Holocaust Remembrance

Ninety-six-year-old New Haven resident and Holocaust survivor Isidor “Izzy” Juda delivered the keynote address at the University’s 15th Annual Holocaust Remembrance ceremony to a crowd of over 150. Born in Vienna in 1921, Juda fled German-occupied Austria in 1938, arriving in New York in 1940 where he was greeted by his parents who had arrived six months earlier. Juda was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1942 to fight in the Pacific during World War II, receiving his discharge — and a Bronze Star and Purple Heart — in 1945.
