HOW YOU WILL LEARN The foundation degree is delivered at the Carlisle Business Interaction Centre on Paternoster Row. You will have the option of completing the course full-time over two years, or part-time over three or four years. These arrangements will be confirmed in advance of your enrolment, after discussion with your employer. Most of the course is delivered on a day release basis with some block week delivery. Lectures will be delivered by experienced academics and industry professionals, and delivery will be a blend of face-to-face teaching in lectures and seminars, supported by high quality online learning resources.
COURSE CONTENT The Foundation Degree course in Project Management is accredited by the Association for Project Management. This is the UK’s largest professional body for project management with over 21,000 individual members and 500 employers. The focus of the course is on the underpinning of knowledge and education to enable newly appointed project managers, as well as more experienced project managers, to enhance their skills and to build on their experience to take this to graduate level.
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF CUMBRIA We have extensive experience of developing vocational higher education programmes and responding to key employer needs. In developing this course, we have also worked in close collaboration with the University of Manchester, which has a long history of providing highly successful post-graduate education in project management. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 100 UCAS points plus Maths and English at GCSE C or above OR At least two years work experience in an appropriate context.
