The best thing about living in Penryn is the amazing beaches and just being surrounded by nature. As I was specialising in Marine Biology it was like being surrounded by a living laboratory. I visited the rock pools all the time either in my own time or on mini field trips.

When you join the University of Exeter, you’ll automatically become a member of your students’ union. For those studying in Exeter, this will be the Exeter Students’ Guild. Postgraduate international fees for 2025 entry vary by course, with the general range between £23,500 (programmes such as MA English Literary Studies) and £44,700 (programmes such as The Exeter MBA). Most postgraduate programmes are around £32,300.
Studying in the UK offers good value, with costs lower than the USA and Australia. International students without dependents can expect to spend around £900-£1,300 monthly on living expenses outside London, according to the British Council.
This will cover accommodation, food, entertainment, books, and other study costs.

Train: There are regular services to all major cities from Truro in Cornwall with connecting services to Penryn.

Plane: Newquay Airport is the nearest airport to Penryn, offering flights to various destinations across the UK and Europe.
