January Orientation 2020 Our programme of practical information sessions and social events are designed to help you settle into your new life at Exeter, meet new friends and get the best possible start at Exeter. Please make sure you come to one Welcome Talk and attend your Study Abroad Coordinator meeting/s. Information sessions are free and you can join in on the day. However those attending our Friday Orientation activities must book by emailing inbound@exeter.ac.uk as spaces are limited. Our social activities (listed in italics) have limited space and a small fee and we recommend you book a ticket prior to arrival to avoid disappointment. Tickets are available online https://store.exeter.ac.uk/product-catalogue/education-student-experience/internationalwelcome-programme-exeter . We look forward to meeting you throughout the week. Study Support Drop-in sessions In addition to the general orientation sessions outlined above, students must attend an academic welcome talk AND (if module changes are required) a meeting to finalise your modules. These sessions are listed at: http://www.exeter.ac.uk/studyabroad/inbound/livinghere/prearrivalandarrivalinformation/ You will be contacted by the Global Opportunities Team prior to arrival (December onwards) in order to pre-allocate your modules (where possible). All students will be allocated a provisional 'home' College and subject prior to arrival based on where you have requested the majority of your credits/modules. This is the College/subject you must visit for your academic welcome talk. If you are studying modules across different Colleges/subjects, please aim to attend the relevant academic welcome session for each College/subject - you must ensure that you are familiar with the rules, regulations and policies for each subject. A complete list of College Welcome Talks and meetings are listed at: http://www.exeter.ac.uk/studyabroad/inbound/livinghere/prearrivalandarrivalinformation/
