Welcome

Iamdelightedtointroducethe UniversityofExeter’sPrimary EnrichmentOutreachProgramme forSummer2024.

Thisprospectusoutlinestheexcitingand comprehensiverangeofactivitiesthatweoffer acrossKeyStage2,fromYears3to6.

OurOutreachProgrammewasfirstestablishedin 2007andinthattimewehavebroughttogetherthe knowledge,expertiseandexperienceofour associatetutorsandlecturerstoprovidehighquality teachingandlearningexperiences. Inmorerecent years,thishasincludedworkingwithlocalartists, illustratorsandauthors.

Ourprogrammeaimstoencourageanddevelopthe progression,attainmentandaspirationofschoolagepupilsandisspecificallyaimedatengaging pupilswhodemonstrateaparticularinterest,skillor potentialinaspecificsubjectarea.Ourhopeisthat pupilswillfurthertheirpassionandunderstanding fortheirsubject;feelinspiredbypractical,hands-on activitiesandmeetlike-mindedpeers,allwithinthe contextofaHigherEducationsetting.

Ourpupils

WewelcomeKeyStage2childrenfromall backgrounds,fromstateeducationtohome schooling,andinparticularthosechildrenwho demonstrateaparticularinterestoraptitude forasubject.Wearecommittedtosupporting childrenfromdisadvantagedorunder-represented groupsandarethereforepleasedtoofferuptotwo freeplacespertermtoeverychildfromalow incomebackground.Pleasecontactustoapplyfora place.

AllmembersofthePrimaryEnrichmentOutreach teamholdaDBScertificateandallUniversityof Exeterstudentsparticipatingineventsare supervisedbyamemberofourteam.Allactivities heldattheuniversityundergoariskassessment beforetheytakeplace,andwehavefullytrained firstaidersonsite.
