Working with you to support your students The University of Exeter Outreach team are pleased to offer a variety of presentations which support existing interventions in schools and colleges. Our presentations are designed to ensure that your students are able to make informed decisions about their future educational pathways. We want to make sure that your students are aware of the variety of options available to them and are equipped with the knowledge required to make the next steps.

Our presentations are normally delivered by members of staff, supported by a team of Student Ambassadors. Alongside our presentations, we regularly attend school/college information fairs across the UK. Please do get in touch with us to enquire about our participation at your events –

These sessions aim to equip students with an insight into the skills required to carry out independent research.

This session will provide tips and advice on managing a research project and is particularly relevant to students undertaking an EPQ.

This session will focus on how students can communicate and present their own research, which is particularly relevant if they are undertaking an EPQ.

This sessions aims at introducing students to the Exeter Scholars programme providing an overview of the opportunities and benefits of the programme.

Studying This session encourages students to consider degree apprenticeships as an option a Degree for HE study. It provides a general overview of opportunities available whilst also Apprenticeship focusing on the courses available at the University of Exeter.

UCAS Process This session will provide students with a detailed understanding of the HE application process. It will provide a general timeline of activities and milestones that students should aim for during Year 12 and 13.

This session will provide information about the financial implications of further study in Higher Education. It will provide an insight into the financial support Exeter can provide.

This session provides an insight into what the University of Exeter is looking for from an application and how we make decisions. This is suitable for students considering the University of Exeter as a destination university.

This session encourages students to reflect on how to choose a course and introduces them to the varying types of courses available across institutions.

This session provides an overview of life and study at our campuses in Cornwall and Devon, showcasing societies, support, accommodation and sport.

Writing an Effective Personal Statement
This session will provide an insight into what competitive universities look for in a personal statement and provides top tips for writing an effective personal statement.

Living on a Budget
For many students university is the first time they have lived independently and managed their own budget. This session provide top tips for successfully managing money whilst studying at university.

We are able to offer subject specific sessions on a range of different disciplines offered at the University of Exeter. These sessions will aim to introduce concepts and ideas, giving students insight into what studying the subject at university level might entail.

This session encourages students to reflect on how to choose an institution and provides an insight into the opportunities available at competitive institutions.

Applying to Medicine and Nursing
Students applying for healthcare related degrees may need to prepare for an interview, and more commonly these take the form of MMIs (Multiple Mini Interviews). This session will provide an introduction to this style of interview and an overview of the wider application process.
