Your course

The LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology is a distinctive programme offering you the ability to take a law degree and combine this with criminology. It offers an excellent way to prepare for a career in the field of criminal justice (for example, Crown Prosecution Service, the police service, probation service, prison service or other related fields).

This course will enable you to study the essential foundations of law while exploring the impacts and explanations for crime including punishment and victimisation. You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of legal principles and core legal concepts. You’ll take law and criminology modules each year and be able to start focussing on the topics that interest you in your second and third year, when you can choose from a range of optional modules.

You’ll be taught by experts from both disciplines who have a wide range of research and practice specialism, giving you an insight into what it is like working in positions in the criminal justice or legal practice fields.
