“The course was of excellent quality with a variety of module options to choose from in the final year which helped to fuel my interest in cognitive neuroscience. There was also a wide range of facilities for students to use in their final year projects such as the EEG, virtual reality and eye-tracking equipment, whilst also gaining the support from the psychology technicians, academic skills department and academic supervisors.”

“During my third year I conducted my own final year project. This involved managing and directing my own research proposal, conducting experiments, and gaining real life experience as to what it would be like to be a researcher. This degree was invaluable as it enables you to fill a wide range of job roles.”
Lewis Leggatt graduated from Psychology with Criminology BSc(Hons) in 2016 and is now a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Huddersfield
“Alongside my course I became a qualified Samaritan at the charity branch in Huddersfield. It was such an incredible experience where I gained a lot of psychological skills. Additionally, I worked in a care home with residents which had learning disabilities and as a student helper in the University library, both jobs were valuable in developing important workplace skills.”
