Important details about the day It’s important that you come and see us at the Check In desk in Student Central when you arrive. That way we can give you the most up-to-date Open Day programme so you know exactly what’s happening and where to go.

Disability access/requirements

Building works

Should you have any disabilities or need additional support please contact us before the day so we can arrange this for you. If you need help whilst on campus the iPoint team are located at the entrance of Student Central. The team will be happy to help you get around campus during your visit.

We are improving and updating our campus and may have building works taking place on the Open Day. Please follow any diversion routes in place. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Fire Alarm If the fire alarm sounds (a continuous siren) please leave the building that you are in immediately (do not use the lifts) and follow the directions given by the fire marshals. Please do not re-enter the building until you are told to do so.

Open Day photography/filming There may be photographers/video staff at our Open Days. They’ll be taking footage/images for promotional purposes such as promoting Open Days on our website. Photographs/videos are not distributed outside of the University or used for any other purpose. If you do not wish to have your photograph/video taken then please inform the photographer or member of staff at the time.

Emergencies First aid assistance can be obtained at the Help Desk in the Information Fair in Student Central.

Student accommodation Storthes Hall Park Student Village Storthes Hall Park Student Village is located five miles from the University campus and accommodates up to 1386 students. It has ensuite bedrooms and communal kitchens. A must see for all first year students.

Ashenhurst Student Houses Ashenhurst Student Houses is located one mile from the University campus and accommodates up to 280 students with single study bedrooms, shared bathrooms and communal kitchens. Both properties are diverse and suit different needs and budgets. Included in your rent are all utilities, fibre optic broadband and Wi-Fi. To find out more about the preferred and recommended accommodation on offer, why not come along to one of our tours? Coaches will take you to and from the halls, so there’s no need to worry about transport.

Storthes Hall Park Student Village Tour Times Tours will commence at 10.30 am and buses will run every 20 minutes up to Storthes Hall Park Student Village. You can stay for as long as you wish and get the next bus back to campus. The last bus up to Storthes Hall Park Student Village will be at 3.00pm. Please visit the DIGS desk in Student Central for more information. Ashenhurst Student Houses Tour Times Tours will begin at 10.00 am and buses will run every 30 minutes to Ashenhurst Student Houses. The tour will take approximately 40 minutes. The last bus to Ashenhurst Student Houses will be at 2.00pm. Please visit the DIGS desk in Student Central for more information.
