At the University of Huddersfield we value the relationships we have with schools and colleges. As such, we are always looking at ways to offer innovative and relevant activities and workshops which are helpful to you and your students. We’re excited to introduce our range of subject specific skills-based workshops for 2020/21. These are largely aimed at Post 16 Learners embarking on an A Level or BTEC course. As well as more general sessions on why students may decide to study a specific subject at university we can also offer a wide range of syllabus related workshops which can be used in addition to lectures taught in school or college to help broaden student knowledge. It also helps students get a flavour of what studying at university is really like. Unfortunately, due to ongoing space restrictions, we are currently unable to invite you and your students onto campus but we are still able to offer a wide range of subject specific workshops all delivered by our university academic staff in a range of formats, both online and face to face at your school or college, should that be your preferred method. Specific formats and timings will be determined to suit your particular requirements.
In this guide you’ll find details of all available workshops in the subjects of English, History, Media, Journalism and Film, Drama, Music and Music Technology, along with how they can be delivered and how they help meet curriculum requirements. You can also find this information on our website at hud.ac.uk/subject-specific-activities
