You’ll find outstanding academic facilities, brilliant indoor and outdoor sports spaces, cafés, restaurants, a cinema and theatre, the Venue (largest club in Canterbury!), and plenty of space to walk or cycle. And with students from over 100 different nationalities, you’ll have friends from all over the world.
The campus is the perfect size, not too overwhelming, there’s a lot of nature around, and plenty to do. It’s very diverse and everyone helps each other out.

A gorgeous city, Canterbury is just a 25-minute walk from campus. Medieval alleyways and cobbled streets are home to the biggest names in retail, vintage shops, cinemas, a theatre, museums, galleries as well as clubs, cafés and bars. Diverse, creative and dynamic, it’s a very student-friendly city.
From Canterbury you can be in London in under an hour; at the beach in half an hour and you’re surrounded by historic woodland!
In Canterbury there’s so much history and plenty to do, lots of different quirky pubs with their own style; there’s something for everyone. Westgate Gardens is lovely.

Friendly and compact, you’ll soon feel at home at Medway. Beautiful historic buildings have been renovated to house superb academic facilities as well as a restaurant, cafés and the Deep End, a café/bar run by the student union.
In our flat we created a kitchen schedule, then added all our birthdays. Since then we’ve been throwing parties for everyone – I always add some Turkish music to the playlist!

You’ll find lots to do in the local towns of Rochester and Chatham. Relax in the cafés and bars, visit the cinema or theatre and explore the area’s history. For green space, visit a countryside park or take a riverside walk.
Medway’s fantastic transport links give you lots of options. London is less than an hour away by train, or if you want to stay local, take the train to the beach or the bus to Bluewater shopping centre, with over 300 shops and 50 restaurants.
I love it here, Medway really is a wonderful place. Everyone’s so friendly; local students help you discover the area and you meet people from all over the world.
Kent, the Garden of England, offers the perfect mix of history and adventure. Historic castles or sandcastles, stunning coastlines or countryside walks, galleries, museums, clubs, theatres, the best fish and chips are all on your doorstep.
And then there’s London. Take a train from Canterbury or Medway and you’ll be in London, one of the world’s greatest cities, in under an hour. Or explore mainland Europe, take a day trip to France by train or ferry.
