THE MOMENTS THAT MAKE THE MOMENTS THAT MAKE MEMORIES LEXINGTON

IT’S PRETTY EASY TO SEE WHY LEXINGTON IS A GREAT COLLEGE TOWN. Nestled in the heart of Kentucky’s Bluegrass Region, Lexington is a vibrant, friendly community of a little more than 320,000 people and has the amenities of a bustling city, wrapped in small-town charm and surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful horse farms. Our hometown has a close connection with the University and a culture that students describe as close-knit, eclectic, opportunity-rich and supportive of all things local. Lexington is also within a day’s drive of two-thirds of the country’s population, making it an ideal college location that’s not too far away from home. www.visitlex.com

I think Lexington is one of the best places to live because there’s so much going on. It’s the perfect mix of country and city life. I’m a big foodie, so you know I’m participating in whatever ‘food week’ it is - Burger, Taco, Donut - I’m there. But if that’s not your thing, we have Keeneland and sporting events and bowling alleys and movie theaters. There are great places to shop, both local stores and national chains. The Arboretum is five minutes from campus and is the perfect place for a picnic. Or hop in your car and go to some of the great hiking trails in and around Lexington. UK is so unique because of our relationship with Lexington .
