Christine Amour-Levar is a FrenchSwiss-Filipina philanthropist, adventurer, entrepreneur and author. Having grown up between Manila, Paris and Tokyo, she is currently based in Singapore where she lives with her husband and four children. Despite her hectic life, she is finding the time to study for a Graduate Diploma in International Relations with the University of London. Interview by Lisa Pierre.

tarting off her career in Japan, after graduating from Sophia University in Tokyo with a BA in International Business and Economics and a minor in Japanese language, Christine joined the firm of McCann-Erickson as an Advertising Account Executive. Her passion for sports led her to move to the USA, travelling the world working for Nike in communications and marketing. She went on to complete another degree at the New York School of Interior Design, after which she worked for the designer Philippe Starck in Paris. In 2007, now living in Singapore, she founded and launched Beijaflor, the first Brazilian multi-brand fashion retail concept in South East Asia, with a flagship store on Orchard Road. In 2011, she wrote the motivational guide, The Smart Girl’s Handbook to Being Mummylicious. Christine is currently Chief Marketing Officer of iRace Media. Growing up with cosmopolitan parents, living in Asia and Europe, and being the product of an international education, has helped Christine navigate the vagaries of a global career and a life across many borders. Coming from a mixed cultural background has helped her to find her own cultural place in the world.
