ATAR TIPS

What is it: Australian Tertiary Admission Rank ATAR cut-off: The minimum rank for entry into a degree. It is the rank of the last person admitted that year. How to maximise: ATARs are calculated on your exam results so it’s not possible to work it out in advance. But there are things you can do to focus on getting a good ATAR: 1. Your English marks are considered first in your ATAR calculation. Get great English results and that will help you do well. 2. After English, the calculation includes the next best eight units. Choose subjects you like and know you are going to do well in. 3. Don’t overthink it. Put your efforts into studying and you will see the rewards.
