“One of the reasons why I applied to Notre Dame was because of its Catholic identity. I found a community where I could celebrate parts of my culture, such as Our Lady of Guadalupe, Las Posadas, and Mass in Spanish— and also experience the beauty and fullness of the Triduum. In my everyday life as a busy student, there was always a chapel close by where I could ground myself, reflect, and remember what was important.”

“From helping women in rural Uganda create their own microtasking business to being the assistant stage manager and actor in a play, the classes at Notre Dame have challenged me in the best possible ways. I’ve taken classes ranging from finance to philosophy, and it is this whole-roundedness of the ND education which exemplifies the heart of the school’s mission of educating the whole person, mind, body, and spirit.”
Jimmy Grammig ’25, Tampa, FL

“Doing research abroad sounds daunting. But my professors and upperclass mentors encouraged me to apply for an undergraduate research grant in London during my freshman summer. Doing research abroad has taught me essential skills to navigate the world, from arranging logistics for an international trip to adapting to new cultures and finding community amidst unfamiliarity. Above all, it taught me to be independent without being alone: I knew that my Notre Dame connections would always be here to support me.”
