Inclusive Sport

The effects of COVID-19 continue to flow through our everyday lives and the sports environment is no different.

We have worked hard to put in place a range of measures to keep you safe to ensure your health, safety and wellbeing

Maintaining a safe distance

We have rearranged our fitness suites and creating clearly defined areas to help ensure everyone can work out at a safe distance. You’ll also be asked to follow new routes to and from your activity to minimise unnecessary contact - these will be clearly marked.

Face coverings

At time of publishing (Sept 2020) our team will be wearing face coverings at all times, unless instructing a class. All customers visiting our sports facilities are required to wear a face covering when walking through to / from their activity within indoor facilities and circulation spaces, but may remove when exercising.

Managing numbers

We’ve lowered the capacity within our facilities and activities in line with government guidelines and to help maintain safe social distancing.

New pre-booking system and contactless entry

We’ve introduced a new pre-booking system for all activities, including our fitness suites and swimming pool. Members will be asked to book in advance to avoid disappointment. All of our turnstiles now allow for contactless entry. Additional signage will be in place to guide customers to alternative entry and exit points that have been introduced.

Enhanced cleaning and hand sanitation

We’ll continue to clean our facilities the highest standards throughout the day and have added additional cleaning stations so it’s easy for you to clean equipment before and after use. We’ll also ask members to sanitise their hands when they enter our facilities and at the entrance to our fitness suites.

Fresher, safer ventilation

In line with industry guidelines, our ventilation and air conditioning systems have been reset to increase the fresh air flow into and out of our facilities.

Sharing best practice

We’re working closely with the University of Nottingham, leading fitness industry experts, including UK Active, as well as a range of other partners to make sure we’re up-to-date with all the latest guidance and measures.
