Intramural Sports Leagues

One of the largest on-campus sports league structures in the country, University of Nottingham’s Intramural Sports (IMS) programme is hugely popular with over 3,000 students taking part every year.

It’s a perfect way to enjoy competitive sport and make new friends without the commitment of weekly training or away game travel. You can represent your hall of residence, academic course or get together with a group of friends to play. Leagues are weekly and we also host one-o tournaments throughout the year with a superb range of sports on o er including: • Badminton (Mixed) • Basketball (Mixed) • Football (Men’s 11-a-side) • Football (Men’s 7-a-side) • Football (Women’s 7-a-side) • Futsal (Men’s) • Hockey (Mixed) • Ultimate • Netball • Rugby Union (Men’s) • Squash (Mixed) • Table tennis (Mixed) • Tennis (Mixed) • Volleyball (Mixed) • Badminton • Ten pin bowling • Dodgeball

How can I get involved?

I want to play for my hall: Come down to halls sports day on the Friday of week 1, or scan the QR Code below to join your halls sport Facebook group and message us from there.

I want to play for a society or course

team: To play for one of these teams simply go on the SU web site (https:// su.nottingham.ac.uk/activities/list) and email the relevant society directly.

I want to play as a group of friends:

If you would like to enter a team with your friends, then please contact the IMS Chair on the e-mail below.

To join an existing team, please contact your hall, society or sport representative to nd out what’s available.

IMS xtures are o ciated by students. If you are already quali ed or would like to become quali ed and earn some money whilst o ciating then please do contact us.

League winners will represent the IMS cohort and compete against Loughborough University in the hotly contested annual IMS Varsity, of which we currently hold the title.
